Yes, if she has my heart like I have hers , then yes she will be my top priority over anyone period, , over friends , over family etc. When a partner doesn’t make you their top priority , you are probably best to end that relationship and find someone that wants to make you their top priority or you will just be wasting your time being with someone that just likes the convenience of you , that truly doesn’t Love you , they only love themselves. you should never fully commit to someone that can’t fully commit to you

Wife and kids should always come first.

Depending on the situation.

If guys mother or father has a medical event or car accident, then wife's dinner party should come second. But that should be common sense.

But in most situations, wife and kids come first.

Of course. But if this is a regular occurrence then there's a problem. Your partner ALWAYS comes first. But if your partner feels THREATENED by my family then there's clearly something wrong. I know when my sister's and mom are overstepping thier bounds (because the seldom do it). And I have no problem telling them so. But my partner has to TRUST that she comes first in my life. If she can't do that for whatever reason then we're never going to work.
