Girlfriend always on phone due to ADHD?

Girlfriend of a year who I plan to marry admitted to problem of her always on her phone due to ADHD. Asked me to be understanding. Is that valid?

I mean it might be valid as a distraction but as an excuse no it isn't. People that suffer from that can get help. Medication is pretty typical for that. Is she on anything to help her? If not why? If she isn't actively trying to come up with solutions then that is no more than an excuse to be on her phone all the time. While it might keep her busy she should not substitute that for an actually solution to the underlying problem.

Yes she is on medication for it and she does work on it.

Thats good then. Let her work on it. Give her a little leeway to make it right. Still no excuse to bury your head in a phone.

What if she continues after repeatedly apologizing and explaining different situations of who and why she is constantly texting. Coworkers in a group chat, cousins, family, friends, etc. When walking the dogs, or sitting at home.. it occurs.

Being on the phone all the time is red flag. My ex-wife was always on the phone, this was a way to escape the her situation/ marriage with me.

Just an excuse. Adhd makes her more prone to being addicted but that doesn't give her an excuse to be addicted.
