Girlfriends registration tags?

My girlfriend of a little over a year who I plan on marrying has overdue registration tags of over $600. I propose to her soon. She doesn't make me pay for everything but has been in a little financial pinch but does work and pays her own bills. Should I pay? I told her I'd pay.. she insisted on paying me back, $50 a week but I told her don't worry about it..

Paying the tags is a nice gesture and it's also good to see that you want to support her financially. She should definitely pay you back though, bro. Don't let her take advantage of you or get too comfortable. And make sure she stays true to her word and that she's responsible. The last thing you want to have happen is a wife who never pays back the money you lend her, bro.

Before you pay anything put it in a written contract and make her sign it. And if you do marry her in the future, if I was you I would strongly consider making her sign a prenup.
