Is there such thing as "hate at first sight"?

I wouldn't call it hate or even dislike to be honest, but I've met some people that let's just say I wasn't very fond of in the first few seconds. How so? I observe how they present themselves from the way they talk to how they are dressed and I make an impression out of them, and usually I'm right. Just a weird gut feeling that hasn't failed me until now, I don't think I met someone who I originally disliked only to find out later that I was too harsh about them.

And no, this doesn't happen often, only on rare cases. Only 5 people I met so far that I can recall who I grew a dislike for without even talking to them out of thousands.

No. I'm same way as I don't belive in love at first sight, I don't think you can hate someone. I believe in luat at first sight. You see qualities that attract you.
In same way, you can see visual cews that give you a preconception of someone that you may dislike, but for me hate is something stronger.
That being said, as I type this I'm thinking if the first time you see someone they are raping your daughter, then I suppose you would hate them immediately.

I'll give you some examples. And you see these people only for a few seconds, doing the actions I will list below:

A person slaps the shit out of his/her pet cat while it's eating.

A parent throws the still alive but unwanted baby in the trash. Left for dead.

A driver hits someone crossing the street. The victim flips and crashes on the concrete, breaking something most likely. The driver leaves the scene.

Hate at first sight is a thing.

Yeah. I've heard in the news about unattractive people who get killed by strangers but 99.999% of the killings happen for other reasons, a common one, being racial or religious hate when somebody appears to be clothed in styles typical of a particular religious group, or jealousy over somebody's good looks and wealth. Another common reason is robbery or random attack but hate I think is the most common reason for violence.

Maybe. But really probably not. Hate is such a strong emotion. What possibly could you see that would make you feel that way? (Okay, I could think of a couple things.)

So, yes, possible, but I think the cases are very few and far between.

Dislike, even loathing, but not "hate" at first sight. Some people's appearance, attire and/or mannerisms just turn me off. I have to be better acquainted with someone's behavior to actually hate them.

Not for me. You have to be a pretty deplorable person for me to hate you. Because "hating" takes energy. And if I don't care for someone I don't really want to waste any of my energy on them.

definitely yes. i only felt it once but i was the target just by seeing me, many times. maybe 2 people i felt that way just seeing them.

Maybe. I've met people and within a few seconds I immediately realized that I don't like them. Is not hate I just don't like their personality.

It's possible, if the other person is super irritating. Me I am neither an extrovert not an introvert I fall somewhere in between those two but somehow all the people I hated at first sight are hyper extroverts
