When guys handle their problems by themselves in silence by not replying to messages and calls. Will they eventually call or text back? What should I do?

It’s random how it happened though because everything was going so well. Also he’s disappeared like this twice but I was able to call and it was all fine. This time it has lasted longer than I expected. He struggles with low points in his life, so… yeah I don't know what to think
