Do your partner’s friends influence your relationship with them?

Let’s say you’re in a relationship with a phenomenal person, you two are great and everything is happy.

Your partner’s friends on other hand may engage in infidelity/ poor behavior with their lovers ; but it’s completely different from your partner’s lifestyle / preference but they are completely against that choices personally.

How would you handle this?

Ignore it because it’s not my problem

I don't expect my partner to drop the friend, since their infidelity isn't contagious or anything and my partner has expressed their disapproval.

I have previously stated my disapproval of my ex's friends to him when we were dating. But that's a different story - his bestie is a QAnon-Trumptard-4chan virgin. Literally.

My ex would tell me his bestie would spend hours hating on queers (I am queer), women (I am AFAB), and minorities (I am a PoC). And he'd complain to me he had to listen to his friend - I told him don't. If he has respect for me, as his partner, he'd either shut those talks down or extract himself and distance.

Instead, he got closer.

It's not the only reason I dumped my ex, but it certainly contributed. His bestie's "woe is me but fuck getting myself out of this hole" attitude, turns out, was contagious, lmao.

Depends on if it's their friend friends or their project friends. If their friend friends are trash, they are likely secret trash as well and are just hiding it from you. But it's fine to have "friends" that are kind of sucky people that you are trying to help be better. To a certain extent.

Just state what you observe, people can be bad influences. Birds of a feather flock together. That's why druggies, drug dealers, and criminals ALL get in trouble and deserve to and many of them hangout or know each other, rat each other, out and on and on. AND that'd because they all have similar criminal minds and are fine with breaking laws and hurting people.

Same thing with cheaters, if a bunch of people are cheaters they will influence others in their circle to be cheaters, AND if not that they will still put those other people in cheating situations IE girls vacations in exotic places, beaches, etc

It would depend on how close they are. If they're telling their friend off for their bad behaviour etc etc.

Having hoe friends who engage in promiscuous behavior is absolutely unacceptable.
