yes for 2 years from my ex gaslighted and ghosted me cheated on me with 2 women compared me to other women with one or 2 things called me horrible hurtful names that made me cry hit me but I socked the basterd back if he hit me even though i didn't take his shit he still emotionally abused me and took a knife to me twice i would never get back with him we don't have any feelings for each other at all anymore it was harder for me to get over it but when i realized I was better and deserve much more happiness now am happy single for a wile we put it all behind us now we are just do buddies thats it

No. I was raised to be tough and to have some balls. I'm not part of this culture that wants to call everything abuse, everything some "ISM", everyone is some poor victim.

No one cares. Pull your pants up and get on with your life, get a career, be competent, get knowledge, take care of yourself, take care of a family, be a good person.

There are some horrible cases of real, legitimate abuse out there. I'm just not a proponent of just LOOKING for things to call abuse. I'm not a proponent of always looking to the PAST as if that has the power over my future. Too many people obsessing over things that happened in the past. Too many living at therapist offices for years obsessing over something mommy said that was mean 15-20 years ago.

Many call EVERYTHING abuse now. Someone raises their voice..."oh I'm being verbally/emotionally abused" Poor me. Maybe you were just being an asshole and they called you out on your shit.

I reckon I've been emotionally abused numerous times , certainly by my mother who was a manipulator , devils advocate , and constanting twisting things around , she set the tone I think , by various school teachers although I never understood their agenda , again manipulation , at work certainly by one boss ( male ) , but thinking back probably more than just him , certainly by a number of girlfriends including emotional blackmail on a number of occasions.
