Have you ever been in a relationship with someone who suffers from ADHD?

This is just a genuine curiosity of mine. And I wonder when and if you have an argument with a person who has ADHD and they shut down and give you the silent treatment is it best to wait for them to come round especially if they won't answer messages?

I am ND and have various conditions, including PTSD, PDD, ADD and learning disabilities.

The result of all this is I process 'heavy emotional content' slowly, initially not accurately and may act inappropriately.

It is analogous to 'overloading' my 'emotional circuitry'. If one reduces the 'emotional current' then my 'emotional circuits' return to normal state.

I think if you have an argument with such a person, it is best to wait for them to come round.

No, teens with ADHD have twice as many sexual partners as "normal" teens.

Them giving you silent treatment isn't a symptom of ADHD, that's them being genuinely a shitty partner.

ADHD and even autism isn't an excuse to allow people to manipulate or be immature. It's a condition to manage and prevail over.

If ADHD is a massive problem for them, THEY need to manage it.

in my opinion, break up. Especially if they're using ADHD to justify them being terrible as a partner.
