4.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Well I have always been single so I am going to answer this hypothetically.
If I had a partner, if I had the woman of my dreams then I will be extremely protective towards her. Of course in good ways only if you know what I mean
I will at least try and do what it takes to show my protectiveness towards her and her safety. I would do that as my duty, as my job.
About her being protective towards me, no I would never expect that from her and if she never shows her protectiveness for me that is totally fine also. Hence my partner will not be expected to do anything in this regard. No, I would not break up or leave my partner if she never shows her protectiveness for me.
However, if my partner does show protectiveness for me (in good ways) then I won't mind that either but it is not expected. Nothing will be expected as far as protectiveness aspect is concerned.
This was just to answer your question. My reply was long but I hope you understood what I said.

Too often, people feel entitled to accuse, blame, criticize, demand, rationalize, yell or tell others what they should or shouldn't do. When I see signs of any of those patterns, I shut the door and move on to other opportunities. There are plenty of healthy options to influence a relationship or let our preferences be known. Falling back on these common dysfunctional patterns shows me she's either oblivious or doesn't care about how her choices impact others. Familiar patterns aren't necessarily functional patterns.

@love_conquers_lust my thoughts too..
442 opinions shared on Relationships topic. My husband has been both. He's been a total flake when I needed him on some occasions, and on others, he stepped right up and protected me. He has a look about him that makes him seem a bit intimidating, so I usually feel safe with him when we're out. (On two separate occasions, he's physically come to my defense when a man attempted to get physical with me, not realizing that he was my husband. Those were interesting moments.)
Me, on the other hand, I think I do more of the protecting! I can't physically protect, but I am often the one who will speak up if there is anyone saying something to him that is racist, or says or does anything that is meant to insult him.

Protecting your partner isn't just physical by the way, it's also in how they protect your image/honor/reputation. If they talk good or bad about you.
But yes, being physically protected is ALSO very important as usually men are the stronger sex. Chivalry is STILL a good thing to do in my opinion. It displays the level of care and concern they have for you and of course the relationship.

That they're glad I might go outside with them because a masculine male presence makes them feel safer. And also that sometimes I give off the vibe that I'm military. The way I might stand or walk.

I'll admit 🤷♂️ I'd probably lose in a street fight. But u better believe it's goin take a minute to get me down! Also, I've got some mental issues from my childhood so I'ma probably go full wolverine at them, growling & shit. Even if they lose, they goin have some nightmares afterward. Yup

+1 yWhen I was in a relationship, I felt very protected.
I was afraid of nothing and when my partner cuddled me to sleep, I felt like his arms were the safest place in the world.
11 Reply 7.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Yes, I had to have a medical procedure last year. I told my wife that she did not have to come with me because I would be okay. She insisted to come. The procedure was a lot harder than I thought and during it I hyper ventilllated. My blood pressure dropped and I felt like I was about to lose consciousness. I had the nurse go and get my wife because I was afraid if I became unconscious they might harvest my organs and sell them to some rich guy.

+1 yLol, no? Women can't /don't make men feel protected. If anything women are the ones men must protect themselves from. Men may be able to handle physical battles but the ones done in the courtroom by a manipulative women using the justice system to her own benefit is something men can't do anything about. Can't fight your way out of that situation.

@sirderpsalot123 Seems like you truly believe that’s the case for me. If so, then there’s no need to tell you my stories since you won’t believe me 🤷♀️
- +1 y
I just asked you a question lol
A guy is being an asshole and hurts your feelings so you try to fight him and end up getting knocked out or he kills you... you're ok with that? That would be "worth it" - +1 y
There's no way you can make that not sound stupid because it's stupid lol
- +1 y
If you were my sister or girlfriend I'd have to knock some sense into you lol don't go picking fights with men. Not a smart thing to do lol
- +1 y
Well were these guys physically harming you in any way? If that's the case yeah do what you can. That's more than them just being an asshole. But you shouldn't be trying to fight a guy because you didn't like something he did or said
- +1 y
And you think hitting a man when he's super angry would have been a smart thing to do?
- +1 y
That would be self defense. That's different.
I'm just saying don't go looking for the fight. Or telling him to hit you. Girls love to do that and then they get knocked out. I've seen it happen. - +1 y
@sirderpsalot123 ahs clearly thinks she's super man and thinks her body is made the same as a guys and she can eat our punches lol
- +1 y
@Fuentes the craziest part is that she admits she would lose but she would do it anyway and it would be worth it. That's like her running in front of a car knowing it's going to run her over because the driver honked and gave her the finger and saying that it was worth it lol I just don't understand
- +1 y
@sirderpsalot123 deff a Subarugirl type of comment lol so strange she really just needs help lol might as well be a crash dummy for car testing lol

@Sasha0426 we care because girls like you go looking for trouble and then when you find it you expect us to risk our safety and freedom to save you

@Sasha0426 And also because this is a site that's designed to give our opinions on stuff lol

@sash0426 that's what they always say until you find yourself in that situation because you thought you could fight a man lol then it's "there were all of these men around who just watched and didn't help me"
- +1 y
Why should we when you knowingly put yourself in that dangerous?
- +1 y
*dangerous situation

@miah05 especially after commenting on his opinion after not leaving an opinion of her own lol

@Sasha0426 I would suggest a female like yourself to not going anywhere to pick a fight with a male, that is like openly walking into a zoo cage with an Ape and expecting him to not rip u apart or a Lion or Tiger ir even walking into a bayou with tons of cross and alligators expecting them to not eat you and tear u apart or even a snake pit in Africa or a big box of huge huntsman spiders in Australia or EVEN! Purposely cutting yourself in the ocean where the great white sharks swim and expecting to win a fight with that huge thing thing teeth. Just stop it hhahahaa

@sirderpsalot123 yup. Exactly. He answered my question honestly and wasn't being mean.
He was having a convo with me, and asked me a question. i didn't even get to respond to my friend because she wanted drama for no reason. - +1 y
@sasha0426 so your just another obsessed user over me? Great to know hahaha I guess we got another girl building a shrine of me. Look I wanna let u know now so I can let u down real easy. Sorry but I am just not interested maybe this rejection will help you stop being so repulsive when you see me comment to have to get noticed or whatever it is you're trying to do but just know I don't think about you the way u think about me & just it will never happen. I hope you get over real soon ❤️
- +1 y
@Sasha0426 then keep away from him. Instead of looking for drama.
Me and him don't agree on everything and when you respect him. He respects you.
He is a very good man, who has very strong beliefs, but a very good man, when you get to know him as a person, instead of as someone who doesn't agree with your opinion.
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI know that just by walking with a man down the streets I'm safer that if I were alone, but I know that even if someone attacked us he would make sure I'm safe. Same goes for the house, if we heard sth weird he would go to check it out
