It's been a while since I've been in a relationship.

But I'm scared of getting hurt, I'm scared of hurting, and I'm scared of being suffocated in a relationship.

If you have fear of being left, then your not ready to be in a relationship and you need to spend some time single. That is an insecure attitude. No one is made to complete you, you need to come complete and share the best version of yourself. That is what a healthy relationship is, sharing the best version of yourself. Not half of you completeing half of me and creating that ridiculous saying, “you complete me”, and at the same time in constant fear of being dumped. Love yourself. When you get to the place where you can say if this person leaves me I’m still good, then your ready.

I worried about that more at the beginning. I'm about 15 years older than my boyfriend. He's also super sexy (and I've worried that he's hotter than me) I used to be really worried he was eventually going to get bored of me (as I'm a lot older) and leave me for some younger super sexy woman. However, I talked to him about my fears and he helped me largely get over them/help me realize how attracted he is to me/that he's not leaving me/that he deeply wants to be with me (not someone younger).

Sometimes I still get a bit worried, but I can pretty easily let it not affect me (at least at the point I'm now at)
