Do you feel fear going home to your partner?

I heard this recently that a lot of guys are afraid to go home to their wives. Its the emotional stress they face when go home, to face the emotions and issues. Some guys avoid going home... and find ways to do so.

I feel no fear. At one time I did, but we got through the sticking points to a good place. I look forward to talking with and spending time with my wife. I'm blessed!

Hopefully if you are suffering, you will get to a better place as well.

Me and my partner value listening to eachother, communication, trust, care, and honesty in our relationship about anything that comes on our minds which honestly just even texting or calling makes us feel comfortable with eachother even when we're apart and really makes coming home to eachother just more welcoming and better.

But damn I can't tell you how much better life is on the other side after having been in a relationship with a emotionally neglectful partner. Its just a feeling of happiness that you seriously would have to experience for yourself. You as a man can be open with your wife about how you feel and won't think of you as weak or find some excuse to not listen to you, because she likes that you open up to her. And that's something that's just so rare to find with someone. Sure it doesn't mean you need to constantly do something like that all the time but being open with her when you need to and both of you being able to listen and be there for eachother is really amazing in a relationship.

If I did that relationship or marriage would be over immediately, my ass isn’t going to go home after work to some crazy ass psychotic bitch that brings misery into my life , I will tell her straight out to back the fuck up and get away from me. And no longer say a word to me. various... I've seen the following:
She's just edgy and sometimes emotionally/verbally abusive
She has a hangup emotionally and is tiring to handle after long day work.
She is emotionally abusive... emotional issues. Not saying it is all on her, he may have started it.. but the emotional whip comes out on him.
Yes communications is issue, emotional stress.

if someone is abusive, you have to set your boundaries... they have the right to feel whatever they feel but not to take it out on you...

That was me. If I had a bad day I would delay going home because she would pick up on it and make it far worse.

If I had a good day, with a significant achievement, I would delay going home cause she would pick up on it and destroy it.

Yeah. I don't think it was even conscious reaction. If she had a bad shift I paid for it that night. There were good qualities though so I stayed in for longer than I ought to have.

That said, I know several of my coworkers who dread going home to their own kids because it's "so much more work" than being in office.

If the guys are feeling this way, they should just break up with their partner. It doesn't make sense to stay in a relationship that causes that much unhappiness.

Yeah I did just that with my ex and everyone in my family started saying I am horrible. Men should be patient, men should do this and that, men are supposed to be strong, women need to vent and it is not a big deal blah blah blah. And I learned that if I get an abusive partner again I will just do that because if I break up again I am again in a lot of trouble and I will not hear the end of it

If you finish a long day of work it is good to mentally prepare before going in the house since you may be bombarded with stuff your wife is worried about however I never fear going home and look forward to the home routine. If you do fear it your with the wrong person and should probably talk it out
