How come my boyfriends brother didn’t respond or aknowledge me?

My bfs brothers wife gave birth to a child today and I msged his older brother saying congratulations but he didn’t respond to me and only read the message…. he used to always message me before asking what me and his younger bro were up to and if we wanted to come out with him and his wife…or if there was an occasion where he expects gifts for his kids….. now he’s being rude to me…. how come?
he’s also rude and nasty to his younger brother at times and also has a wife who’s a bit on the possessive/ bossy side of things…

He’s jealous of me and his brother

Doesn’t like me anymore

Other/ his wife doesn’t want him messaging me

Well its kind of weird to me that his brother is messaging you, you would think that if he wanted to do something together as a couple his wife would be in contact with you, or he would make plans through his brother. Direct messaging your brothers boyfriend is a little odd to me.

With that said, he just had a baby. I am sure his phone is on fire with a lot of messages and phones calls and at the end of the day, you are his brother's girlfriend and therefore I would assume you are low on the priority list.

Lastly, I would not like my girlfriend texting my brother, or my girlfriend texting my brother or any other man for that matter, then getting upset if he does not respond.

I would only add that this is the 2 to 3rd post where you concerned about the lack attention or ruddiness of your boyfriend's brother... like it's weird. What's your deal with the brother, because it might be becoming a little obsessive like he is married, and you are acting like you would rather be dating him. I have dated like 17 women in 3 years, and you know what my interactions where with their sisters? Zero, like I never once texted or had private communications with their sisters.

Then just ignore it, it is weird. You are letting this guy's brother interfere with your relationship, because seems to be causing you some degree of anxiety and there is something not right about it. Like obviously I cannot put my finger on it, but there is something not right about it.

If he was pressing me when I was going to move in with his sister, I would simply say that is none of your business. That is in between me and your bother.

I agree but this your boyfreind's brother, so its kind of on him to work out. I would just cut contact with the brother. But you have said in the past that the brother stomps on your boyfriend, so honestly it doesn't sound like healthy situation. If your boyfriend cannot maintain healthy boundaries with his own brother, then at some point I think there will be issues down the line... and it seems like you are getting down the line.

Do that means at some point you got to set your own boundaries with the brother and expect your boyfriends to respect them.

My boyfriend seems to be scared of his own bro because he can be very pushy and aggressive…even when my boyfriend says no to him he pushes and gets mad and starts putting him down and bullies him into going to stuff he doesn’t want to go to and then guilt trips him when he says a simple “no”….. it’s also weird how he always wants to know what we’re doing all the time as well…. I’ve never encountered this before with a meddling brither lol

Should I have a word in private with his mom if he continues? I have spoken to his mom before about something else and she told me to speak to her if anything ever makes me uncomfortable

Sounds to me you are acting more like a man then your boyfreind is, so this might just be the tip of the iceberg... I mean do you really want to be with someone who needs his girlfriend to protect him from his brother.

Honestly, I would cut ties with the brother and leave it to your boyfriend and stay out of it. I mean you might be making your own problems here.

Ya it’s best to stop talking to the brother altogether and if he says anything wrong just ignore and if it gets out of hand speak to him mom in private with my boyfriend present I’m thinking….. what do you think of this approach?

Look tell your boyfriends that you just do not like his brother, the way he talks to you and him and that you really don't want anything to do with him. Thats that, its over. Just stay out of it.

If your boyfriend wants to be bullied around by his brother, then that's up to him... stay out of it, but at the same time do not tolerate it either. Set boundaries and an maintain them but leave this to you boyfriend... because trust me real mean deal with shit like this or they don't for their own reasons. So its best for you keep your mouth shut and out of it.

Blood is thicker than water, you got best remember that. These people all share the same blood, your just some girlfriend. If you say anything it will all come back to that fact, and you will be the problem not them.

Really from a big family people get weird sometimes and sounds like there has been a change in them!

Wife while pregnant might have gotten jealous and turned nasty against you... ordering him to be bad and rude.

He might just be so busy with him going crazy waiting or over thinking?

Honesty you with the wife after labor when she wakes ask her?
