Would you confess to your boss that you admire him?

Okay, so I have this boss that I've been crushing on. And he thinks I don't enjoy talking to him. But the truth is that I am introverted and gets super shy and nervous when he's around. Every time where having one on one/catch up I don't really talk that much, and I'm certain that's the reason why he said I didn't enjoy talking to him.

So, should I confess about my admiration just so he won't misunderstand my actions towards him? I'm not expecting something in return though. Just purely a confession of how I admire him a lot.

Do not be vague and general and expect him to read your mind. Tell him specifically what you admire about him. You may want to write rather than talk. That way you can read and reread what you write until it says exactly what you want it to say. Include the fact you're introverted and tend to be uncomfortable in non-structured situations. Once you understand where you fit it, you tend to be more willing to be an active participant.
