Long story short me and my ex girlfriend are still in contact and sometimes she calls me bro even when we were dating but when we broke up we stopped talking for a while and she started contact after 3 weeks and went out a few times but she mostly calls me by my name but sometimes calls me bro and I've pulled the "sibling" card on her by calling her sis and she slapped me for that

So why does she still call me bro even though we aren't close anymore?

Bro that's definitely weird she still calls you bro sometimes. Like I get she did it when you were dating too but normally after a breakup chicks don't use bro, you know?

Honestly I think maybe she does it cause she's still kinda into you man, but doesn't want to fully let herself go there again yet. Like "bro" is her way of keeping you around but also keeping some distance emotionally.

Girls play a lotta mind games sometimes. Or could be she just got used to sayin it to you that it slips out on accident now and then. Who knows with chicks, right?

Either way I wouldn't read too much into it. Maybe just say something like "hey you know I prefer if you just call me by my name now" and see what she says. Or call her out if she's acting like she wants more again but won't commit.
