In the old days when a couple got married he would carry his new bride under the threshold after they were married. It was a tradition at weddings.
Even my own husband carried me like that as we went inside our home. He carried me under the door frame as we went inside.
Now a days - it might not have any meaning other than you are being carried like a princess (again, from the old days).
Personally if you are wearing pants when he carries you this way it makes your butt look bigger than it is.
