How do cheaters hide their tracks?

I'm interested to know the ways a cheater hides their tracks and makes ot almost impossible to prove they've been cheating. I've been dating my boyfriend for 3 years and always felt he's been cheating but I could never prove it with obvious hard evidence. Anyone know ways to spot a cheater, what they do to hide their tracks?

They use a branch to erase their footprints. Sometimes that walk in a stream to make it harder for dogs to follow their scent.

One of the best ways is to cheat when your boyfriend is at work or someplace that he can't check up on you.

Gut feelings and a few things that have happened, like his coworker giving him lavish gifts, going above and beyond for him because she "appreciates " him. He's added her on every platform including snapchat and says he only sees her as a friend etc. But my gut is telling me otherwise but have no Solis proof
