What was benjamin franklin and george washington relationship? What think about this question?
Inmy research
Respect Was Key: in my opinion, Benjamin Franklin and George Washington weren’t buddy-buddy, but they definitely respected each other.
Working Together for a Bigger Cause: These guys crossed paths mostly because they were both super into making America its own thing. Franklin was the guy charming the pants off the French to help out, and Washington was leading the troops.
Chalk and Cheese: They were pretty different, though. Franklin was the witty, clever type, loved his science and hobnobbing with the European crowd. Washington, ooh and, was more of a serious, keep-it-to-myself kind of guy with his roots in Virginia.
All Business, Not Much Chit-Chat: Their relationship was more like work buddies than actual friends. They were both superrr focused on getting America on its feet, so most of the time they chatted, it was about big picture stuff (maybe?)
The Big Meetup at the Convention: Both of them were big shots at the Constitutional Convention. Franklin was all about finding the middle ground, while Washington was running the show. They were like the dream team making sure the new government’s rulebook was solid.
Both Backed Team Independence: At the end of the day, they were both major cheerleaders for America doing its own thing. Franklin was the diplomatic genius, and Washington was the strong military leader. Different styles, but both were aiming for the same goal.
So, yeahhh, Franklin and Washington were like two important pieces in the American independence puzzle. They weren't hanging out and cracking jokes together, but they had a ton of respect for each other and worked their tails off for what they believed in. They're soo good friendss i hope we find to this friendshipss :')

I haven't researched Franklin, but I know about Washington- he was the first Trump, which is exactly why Trump idolizes the man. He was a, thief, user, narcissist, slaver, and a liar without conscience. His ambition and lies about his experiences convinced Dinwiddle to send a 21 yr old Washington to the Ohio Valley to demand the French leave the area. He assured Dinwiddle he could speak the language, but he could not. Long story short (but look it up), he ended up starting the French-Indian War.
During the Revolution, he promised men land if they fought for his army. He had a losing battle record as well. When the war ended, he convinced said soldiers the land was worthless and paid them paltry amounts so he could retain it. He had more land and 100 more slaves at the end of the War than when it started. He was known to be cruel and a rapist of his slaves.
He also sent General Sullivan to burn every single Iroquois village after the war, including those tribes who fought on his side. Then, there was the Whisky Rebellion. George was a douche nugget. Whatever Franklin was, I doubt he gave anything more than a cursory public display of respect for Washington, as Ben was much, much smarter than George was. I'll have to research that further.
Considering that Franklin was old enough to be Washington's father, it probably would have been more like a mentor. However, keep in mind that Franklin died only about a year into Washington's first term of his administration. But, honestly, I doubt they were even close although they likely would have spoken at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 since Washington was the President of the Convention and a deputy from Virginia while Franklin was a delegate from Pennsylvania. Both signed the Constitution.
Washington in the upper right; Franklin the top name with Pennsylvania.

I’m not sure offhand but that sounds like an AP History question

they weren't particularly familiar with each other from what i know. they were certainly colleagues. they ran in the same social circles. washington lived for a time in Philadelphia where Franklin lived. So i imagine they certainly interacted but they came from different spheres. Washington was much more a military man while Franklin was more of a literary and intellectual who ran in those circles... this i not say washington wasn't an intellectual because he was brilliant but he did not, as far as i know, really run in that intellectual circle
Mutual respect, I assume. Ben Franklin was a bit of a womanizer and a horn dog. He travelled the world and was very inventive/creative. Washington was a leader. I assume Washington would have recognized Franklin’s talents and Franklin would have respected Washington’s ability to lead others.
They were just very respectful friends and allies for a common cause. Franklin died in 1790 so he didn't live to see through Washingtons presidency, but yeah they were very cordial with one another. here's a book about that if curious to learn more: https://www.amazon.com/Franklin-Washington-Partnership-Edward-Larson/dp/0062880152
I like this question and wish people asked more like this.
