How would you feel if your partner didn't want to have kids because he didn't want to see you in pain?

It just sounds like an excuse. Like they aren’t the ones having the baby so it’s not their choice whether or not the person has pain. And it’s just a part of life. Are they also going to keep the girl from going outside so they avoid other things that cause pain? Just say you don’t want to have kids. Don’t make up some excuse to try and sounds like a “good guy” or a martyre.

It seems like quite a lot for a man to ask a woman to go through just so he can pass on his genes. He can't stop her from getting hurt all the time but he's directly responsible for the pain she would experience getting his children.

It’s not just HIS children. And it’s not just passing on his genes. If that’s what you think having children is all about then yea, you shouldn’t have kids. But at least admit that it’s because you don’t understand the value of having them or that they are also the woman’s children.

Obviously it's her child too but once again his actions inflicting pain on her even if he does want to have kids "for the right reason" I don't see how he could have a clean conscience about it

I would want a kid my blood and with adoption who knows what kind of kid you can get with traumas and all; surrogacy is disgusting to me, for someone to carry my baby feels unnatural and like playing God
