5 moThere was a girl on here. She told her husdand shall anything happened, save the baby and let HER die. He did the opposite and she was furious.
Personally, I'd rather save my wife. We can always make another baby. I guess ultimately the decision would be HER'S.
I'd be fucked either way. If I saved the baby I'd be devistated over losing my wife, if I saved my wife, she might disown me. But I guess I'd rather she be alive. I'd probably save my wife. Building a connection and love takes AGES. Good wives are a dime a dozen, and you can always make another baby.

My aim on GAG is to decode messy love dilemmas and add a little spicy clarity to them 😏
That choice is deeply personal, and there’s no universal “right” answer. Some people would sacrifice themselves for the baby, others would prioritize staying alive for existing kids, partner, or their own life dreams.
What matters is values: love, responsibility, and consent. Fantasy makes it romantic. Reality makes it heartbreaking.00 Reply

4 moThe question is would you have the baby, or want your partner to have the baby? I think you meant to say would you save the mother or the child.
And to me I think this is very easy. I will save my partner. I can always have another baby!!! And in the case were I could not have another child with her then either I have no children I have a baby with someone else. But to choose to let your partner die to me sounds almost murder. The baby is not even born and dependent on her blood supply and all. I don't regard the baby in her womb more important than her, especially when the option exists of having another baby later.
10 Reply990 opinions shared on Relationships topic. No. I'd want her to stay alive, even if it meant the baby was lost. We could still try to make another one in the future, but if you have a compatible partner, that is nearly impossible to find or replace. Plus, I would be attached to her for numerous years already and not even know the baby.

One of my favorite shows.
I told my husband about this (I already have 2 kids). He said no because the foundation of relationship is man and woman. The second foundation comes with children. Everything starts from man, then woman and then children.

5 moUltimately, it would be her choice but I'll make it clear to her, that I choose her. I don't wanna face the world without her, especially with our child. It wouldn't be fair to anyone involved.

4 moIt depends entirely on what my wife wants. If she wants to give her life for the child, it would break me, but I would respect it. If she chose to terminate, then it would also break me, but I would respect that too.

Huh? NO WAY!
I am opposed to abortion except in the case of rape, incest or risk of serious physical harm or death to the mother. Therefore this falls into an exception category.
10 Reply 1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Children not only need their mother but it's essential in their life.

go fuck yourself. I STUDIED history. It was common for men to have 3-4 wives throughout his lifetime due to them dying due to childbirth during the middle ages.
this was a time BEFORE ultrasounds, BEFORE they could stop bleeding, BEFORE they had any doctors.
Opinion Owner4 mo@melssvdv
if you were woman in the middle ages, and you ripped your perineal muscles during childbirth, you will bleed to death. NO STITICHES, NO SURGEONS, NO EPIDURALS.- 4 mo
"It was common for men to have 3-4 wives throughout his lifetime due to them dying due to childbirth during the middle ages. "
That is not true. Most men had 1 wife. And if women truly died at that rate we would have way more men in this current timeline than women.
Ultrasounds are bad for your health. And yes they could stop bleeding using many herbal remedies like yarrow, plantain leaves and many more like cloth packing, etc.
And yes, doctors did exist in Middle Ages. In fact, even midwives were enough.
And no, most women did not bleed to death. That is an extreme exception but you are trying to turn it into a general rule. And yes, there were surgeons.
Stop oversimplifying and over exaggerating things. You sound like a Jew trying to spread some pot-stir agenda.

I am not bullying women and promoting men. I am just telling you the truth.
You are just one of those agents trying to come up with some pot-stir agenda nonsense to bring some narrative to cause divide and conquer. Or you are just indoctrinated by feminism and everything seems black to you and put your blame on men for no valid reason because your feminist ideology is teaching you that. You are lying so the one who is toxic is you.

stir up what?
men abandoning their own kids for single moms to raise?
- 4 mo
We do not "give life". It takes two to make one.
You know what I think you are? You must be one of those feminists upset that no matter how many times the mainstream media tells you that we are equal to men, but history, biology and reality itself shows that men are more powerful than women, that men are the front and women behind. That men are stronger than us. That men are the primary so to speak. That men hold the highest power in this world. That men contribute more than us because of their biology.
You feel defeated, upset and disappointed because you realize that feminism and equality is nothing but a false promise. Hence why you try to demonize men with your nonsense because of your resentment and malicious envy.
This is coming from someone who was a feminist back then. I had experience with it. I was just like you. Demonizing men because of my malicious envy towards men. But now after taking a good 10 months rehab from feminist media, I accept nature and see that men's natural superiority is nothing wrong.
I suggest you to ditch media for a year. - 4 mo
"men abandoning their own kids for single moms to raise? "
Only around 0.01 of men abandon their own kids. And majority of modern single women nowadays are deadbeats who tricked the court to say that her husband is bad just in order to get his property, money while living a single life and suddenly blame on men for being single mom.
Opinion Owner4 mo@melssvdv
if men didn't abandon their kids for single moms to raise then why are 80-86% of single parents SINGLE MOMS?
Approximately 80% to 86% of single-parent families in the U. S. are headed by mother

"if men didn't abandon their kids for single moms to raise then why are 80-86% of single parents SINGLE MOMS?"
Most men did not "abandon" their kids. It is the woman initiating the divorce, taking the assets and property and kids of the husband and suddenly the mainstream somehow blames on men using the buzzword "men abandon kids" but reality it is women initiating divorce instead.
The court brings the children to the mother. That is default. Regardless of choice. Most people just following the rules of the state. Which is absurd.

just a google search shows that the vast majority of single moms HAVE NEVER BEEN MARRIED...
so what are you talking about following the rules of the state?
Approximately 28% to 29% of single mothers in the U. S. are divorced, according to recent 2022-2024 data. While divorced mothers make up a significant portion, more than half (roughly 51%) of all single mothers have never been married, with the remaining percentage comprised of separated or widowed individuals

10 Reply In the real world this doesn't happen. But ultimately a mother's instinct is to sacrifice herself for her children.

I honestly don't think this is true at all. I think a mother's instinct is solely her own survival.
- 5 mo
That's not true either. I think when it comes down to it, the amount of resources dictates a mother's choices. I'm not saying they can't overcome their instincts, just that the instinct is self preservation.
