It does the opposite.
It takes not strength at all to be an ass hat to others, but being kind to someone also helps to raise you above others that won't be kind to someone else.

No. But it CAN make you a target for those that take your kindness for softness. This is why you can be kind, but you have to be able flip that switch on them in a heartbeat if need be.
