I have and I see why women say they won’t date a broke man and tell other women not to. Having a job is like the BARE minimum for people, but apparently having basic standards for your partner as a woman is a bad thing.

Don't date a jobless man, unless the circumstances are extremely specific.
A broke man on the other hand can be different. I appear broke to many people, it's a minimalist lifestyle. I'm not. I just don't waste money on frivolous things. My wife took a chance and learned really quick that I'm not broke. So, don't make broad assumptions. But be careful.

I would date someone who is broke but it's a specific set of circumstances. If they don't have a job that's not an issue as long as they are either looking or something like that. I wouldn't pay for everything though or lend money especially early on in the relationship.

They could be an amazing person who has just had a rough patch if you get along with them well I'd say it's possibly worth taking a chance on them but it's about being careful with that chance.
