What are your top “non-negotiables” in a serious relationship?

When it comes to non-negotiables in a serious relationship, I'd say everyone has their own set of deal-breakers, but here are a few that I think are pretty universal:

Trust and Honesty: This is huge. Without trust, you're basically building on shaky ground. If you can't trust your partner, or they're not honest with you (and vice versa), it's like trying to build a house on sand.

Respect: It's all about valuing each other's opinions, feelings, and needs. If there's no respect, things can turn toxic pretty quickly. Mutual respect helps in nurturing a healthy relationship.

Communication: Being able to talk things out, share feelings, and even disagree in a healthy way is so important. It's not just about talking, but also about listening and understanding where the other person is coming from.

Compatibility: Now, this doesn't mean you have to be clones of each other. It's like, if one person wants kids and the other doesn't, that's a potential deal-breaker right there.

Support and Encouragement: A partner who supports your dreams and is your cheerleader? Priceless. It's about being there for each other, through the good and the tough times.

Personal Space and Independence: Even in a relationship, it's healthy to have your own space and interests. You can't be joined at the hip 24/7.

Affection and Emotional Connection: Beyond the physical, having a deep emotional bond where you can be vulnerable and feel loved is vital.

But actually I believe that it's always interesting to see the different things people value most in a relationship! 🤔💕

That's the list. Or, I could say a great husband and family man who is willing to prioritize me, give me everything, provide for me, make sure my needs are met, *cough* worship me and spoil me rotten * cough cough*, include me, and be my best friend and person for life. A man who thinks and takes great pride in his work, has goals, and enjoys improving the lives of others. Who knows how to appreciate a woman wholeheartedly.

- If something is the matter, you tell me and we'll figure this out. Sad, angry, moody, anything.

- No Cheating, any form (touching, flirting, sexting, ...)

- We sign a Prenup. If it's not about the money, this shouldn't be a problem.

- Verbal or Physical abuse and you're out.

- If you're going somewhere that's out of the ordinary, let me know. When/Where/Who, so I know where to go, may something happen.

- No yelling during arguments, stick to the argument, stay calm.

- No going back on our word.

My one main thing is complete and unconditional loyalty.

That doesn't just mean "no cheating" it means my partner needs to stand by me in every situation and I in turn will do so for her.

I want a "ride or die" type of relationship.

He has to live a reasonably nutritious and healthy and normal lifestyle. Meaning, he does not sleep at 6 in the morning due to partying, he does not get drunk, he does not smoke, he does not eat potato chips every week, he does not eat pork ribs at Montanas every month, he does not do dangerous stunts like riding a motorcycle or arguing with strangers at parking lots etc... He obeys all laws other than maybe ones about pirating books and DVD's. He is gentle and sweet when people fail his expectations and not rude and hostile and demanding. He calls the doctor when he is sick and does not risk his life by pretending to be strong. He protects his interests and the interests of his family and he does not have an ego trip or a need for vain esteem by others.

No piercings or tattoos (outside of an earlobe hole)

No jobs that require travel

Must be modest

Had to be traditional and family oriented
