Is society codependent?

Are most people here addicted (if that's the right word) to constantly being in relationships or with others. Maybe it's me bc I live with fam where every single one of them are in relationships. I find it weird that some young generations believe they need a relationship to feel fulfilled bc they see everyone else doing it too. I feel like being in partnership/relationships is overrated. It seems it's frowned upon to be single as a woman after a certain age. I do like having someone in my life for companionship but I don't wanna get into relationships to fill a void, that's why I'm not in one ATM. Just curious what others thoughts on this are.

i think a lot of people just feel lonely, and understandably so. like me for instance, i don't really have family, so a girlfriend, and meeting her family, would make me feel connected. for me, i haven't had the choice. i've been totally unsuccessful in dating. but i've also accepted being alone in this sense, and it feels somewhat good. other people? I don't know. i guess it depends how stable they are. my impression is that the people who need relationships the least are in the best relationships.

Yes, people are meant to be together, and it is always funny how the ones that preach that being single is the way to be are so damn miserable and bitter. You see it on here all the time.

Actually people in relationships are bitter too not just the single people.

Yes. This site is rife with it. Most women on here simply do not know what a healthy relationship is.
