How do you deal with your partner's absence in bed?

Well it's very tough I get it ! I remember hugging the pillow with a photo nearby LoL

But I guess you can try calling her... voice or video call as you wish and talk till you both fall asleep

Now if you won't find it weird and funny.. here's something I did... you can take a shirt or any piece of clothing she owns (if you have one) and put in over your pillow as you hug it to sleep as I said earlier lol... and maybe even apply her usual perfume on it if you have it with you...))

You can try to ask her to record a bedtime story or a song for you and you can sleep to it every night.

That or fluffy toys.
