Would you date a dude with a kid?

I am talking to a dude with a child. He is very mature and his daughter is 7. I have talked to her as well. The bm and father have broken up and he has moved on since. He doesn't have a hs diploma because he has made sacrifices so she and the child can have a good life. He wants to get a hs diploma and go to college as well. I really like this dude but I wonder if I'm making the right decision.

Me personally I don't want a child and I'm very mature for my age as well. We have talked about this and he says he doesn't want another one as well. He says he doesn't want to hold me back because I am in college online but I don't think he is holding me back. We aren't dating so I haven't told my parents or anyone else.

However, it’s up to you if you want to continue talking to this guy. Like, how do you truly feel? And it’s great you like his daughter. That’s very rare.

How about you check about both parents from their friends and acquaintaces?

And what would the relationship or situation look like? Have they both discussed it? Or your presence doesn't matter/wouldn't cause any problems.

And just to assure they're truly caring for the kid. Hear from both sides.

Does the child live with him or with her mother? If she isn't around much, you should date him if you like him.

I have been in a relationship with a single mom before, so in reverse i'd be open to it and have already proven myself open to it. But it only works if you are open to being a parental figure to their child. If you can't embrace that it won't work.
