I always seem to manage that, but my usual is Chat -> Voice - > Video -> In person if it gets that far. Most people don't ever make it beyond the chat stage and then the other 99% is stuck in the voice stage. But if we make it to video I usually already have a good idea of what you are like. Now months if not a year of video chatting later if it ends up becoming in person I usually know her so well it lines up perfectly.

Yes, sp, etimes people you meet online will reveal things about themselves that nobody else knows. Th problem is that sometimes itr is hard to know what is true.

No, I don't think so. You need to spend time with them.

In social media people only show the good side of their lives. If you really want to know someone, you also need to see the ugly parts.

Trust me he or she only shows whatever they are ok with you to know about them. I don't want anyone to know how i don't look as confident as i actually am because of my posture. And i would hide it if i could, so hide it in social media, because thet only see and know whatever i show and i say.

But i shared some of my insecurities and some deeply emotional memories of mine that i actually feel ashamed of because i was ok with them to know. This doesn't apply in reality tho, people see and know more than you want them to because you cannot hide things in real life.

No one in social media knew any of my insecurities and i had a few really close friends and a few seriousish relationships yet none of my boyfriends ever made me feel the way my current boyfriend did and none of them knew me in those years as well as he got to know in a few months

I think so, it all depends on what people talk about, people can hide things weither it's online or in person.
