4.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Yea people that jump from relationship to relationship are people that are scared to be alone and people you should clearly stay away from. Most girls ‘ that I have dated , were girls ‘ that just got out of a relationship , or they were still in a relationship , weighing their options , of course she lies about having someone else , but that’s just how most girls’ are , a selfish mindset , They are good in bed but not good for the long haul because it will just be a matter of time , before she trades you in as well. I know guys do this shit as well , so I am not just targeting girls’ , I just don’t date guys’ lol So the majority of girls’ I have met and showed interest in , usually have someone else or other options to choose
From or a back up plan , or she is just seeking a rebound and just trying to hurry up and get into a committed relationship without really
Getting to know each other , because she is scared to be alone. Why I no longer jump into a relationship with a girl , until her and I really get to know each other and see if she is really in it for the long haul, instead of the short haul , Me personally doesn’t really like being single , but I don’t mind being single until I meet someone that doesn’t fuck with my heart , I take relationships seriously , so for me to give her 100 percent , she has to being doing the same or she will just be short term fun to me , basically thanks for a good time , but not a long time. The thing is we aren’t mind readers , and we don’t truly know what someone’s true intentions are , people are just infatuated with each other , when we meet someone new , that we are attracted to and have good chemistry and connection with , but we never truly know what their true intentions are , or if they are truly being honest with us. Most girls’ I have hooked up with or had sex with , assumed all I wanted from her was sex and nothing more , they were in complete shock when I showed up with flowers the next day to let her know I really had a good time with her and would love to see her again and again. Sadly that is still a 50/50 chance on whether she wants to or not. Sadly most people hold secrets and lie and have a hard time being honest because they are afraid they won’t be accepted by someone they are attracted to and really like if they are honest , and sadly that is why most relationships do not make it because it’s all lies.10 Reply

Asker+1 yI think the reason single people have good dating advice is cause they observe people's relationships and observe and memorize people's fuck ups so then you can spread to others on what not to do lol
- +1 y
Tbh though. Helps that we have social media so we could see sooooo many people's fuckups. And also I come from a broken family. Parents would argue a lot & eventually got divorced. That might have a huge unconscious influence on how I see relationships. I tend to have some of the avoidant, anxious, dismissive type of attachment styles.
Asker+1 yWell you can't reflect all relationships off the one your parents had, there's good ones out there
- +1 y
Yeah, I know. I don't consciously do it. That's why I said 'unconscious.' 🤣 I believe certain beliefs about the world around can get woven into our minds & may cause adjustments to how we interpret & progress through the world. In ways we might not even realize until we're confronted with certain outcomes to analyze.
Asker+1 yYea I honestly don't know how to reply to that
Asker+1 yI don't know you put me on an awkward spot slamming all the weight on my shoulders bro 😂
Asker+1 yWell Then, ima get crushed to death
- +1 y
Jkjk 🤣 that all I'll say about the unconscious mind. I don't know too much about that topic. Kinda just going based on what I've heard some seemingly credible people say. But I do believe it might hold some truth.
But the greatest reason for why I avoid relationships is due to not wanting to experience the negative aspects of them. For me, I think not only would my hearing condition would pose a great obstacle, but my personality, biological tendencies, philosophical & social perspectives (etc) would all work in tandem to create some major incompatibility.
Asker+1 yFair enough lol
Asker+1 yLmao, I thought I'd STEP a bit out of my comfort zone with my profile pic ha
Asker+1 yThank you, my pacing stands strong lol
+1 yI’ve never had a problem being single but like being in a relationship more. The worst is feeling like you’re stuck in a relationship just because you feel it’s just growing pains, you’ll get past it and things will be like they used to be but never are. I went through that in my last relationship. I was single for almost a year after I ended it and did okay. It actually came at a good time, because I needed to focus on me. The guy I’m dating now just kind of popped into my life at just the right time.

+1 yI was never in a proper relationship, only dating and I dont see myself being happy without relationship. I've done it, I've been practically single my whole life but can say im pretty far from fine about that. I can be single, proven as I am for so long, but Id be unhappy. Id also rather be single than with someone im really into so than again Id be unhappy in bad relationship as well. catch 22 So only misery for me for now haha
25 Reply- +1 y
than with someone im really NOT* into
Asker+1 yWhy tho? Lol
- +1 y
Why what? I can't be happy without relationship? Cause i have strong need for affevtion n sharing everything w someone makes me happiest
Asker+1 yAww well there's nothing wrong with that, if you need affection then you just do 🤣💯

I'm holding out for a robot.

Bo: Sam, have you given any more thought to you getting a fourth job?
Sam: Yes, but why can't you get a job?
Bo: I'm too busy.
Sam: Busy doing what?
Bo: Getting massages and going to lunch.
Sam: Oh, I see. I will try harder to find a fourth job.

Asker+1 yWdym a robot? 😂
Asker+1 yNope I like my women with flesh and blood 😂
- +1 y
But with a robot you can say...
Put another log on the fire.
Cook me up some bacon and some beans.
And go out to the car and change the tyre.
Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans.
Come on, baby, you can fill my pipe,
And then go fetch my slippers.
And boil me up another pot of tea.
Then put another log on the fire, babe,
And come and tell me why you're leaving me.
Asker+1 yFor that I can just hire a made, making my wife a robot seems like a waste, besides I want her to have feelings, I wanna make her happy, I can't do that with a robot, also what if I wanna reproduce and have children, I also can't do that with a robot, also when I kiss her forehead I want to feel the softness of her skin, not some artificial robot skin, let's not forget the most important part, I want her to have a God given soul, that's basically gives life to a woman and without It, there's really nothing but junk metal lol

Asker+1 yOof..
+1 y“Co-dependency” comes to mind when I think about people who haven’t learned how to enjoy their own company. I guess another word for it would be “needy” or “insecure”. To be fair, we’re social beings by nature and we have longer lifespans when we’re in relationships. Personally, I enjoy being alone even in a relationship. Everyone needs their privacy and space (I’d say at least 50% of the time).

m +1 ybeing single was never an issue to me, so far, so good...
but I've also spent many years in relationships, so I guess that's also a factor for me to enjoy both situations for what they are and what they can be...310 Reply
Asker+1 yYea that definitely makes sense but I think when people say they can't, they literally can live happily without being in a relationship, but I don't know lol
- +1 y
I'm not sure about that either... lol
Asker+1 yI wanna get to the bottom of this lol
- +1 y
I've heard about something like "being in love with falling in love" which is when some people do want to get into relationships often because they really like those first stages of falling in love with the idea of someone, which yes... can a VERY amazing experience, but then they start to lose interest very quickly, sabotage it, break off... and start over
so they might feel miserable while single too... because they just want all that to happen again
"falling in love with the idea of love" rather than actually loving the people they're with...
Asker+1 yI've never heard of that saying but that does sound like a good way if describing it, interesting saying 🤔
- +1 y
it's something that psychologist and relationship therapists have come to write about... lol
Asker+1 yThem mfs sure like making up sayings and shit, and blame em tho, sayings sound cool
- +1 y
lmfao... well, that's their job... to come up with theories that we're too messed up to figure out at the moment
Asker+1 ycan't*

+1 yI've been single majority my life.. So, I'm okay with being single.. Content I would say.. Most normal people are probably content with being single at least for a bit of time.. There's all types of reasons for those who can't.. Neediness, time, peer pressure to start a family, not seeing being single in the best light etc.
Asker+1 yYea it can be many reasons and some might be mental, that's a good hypothesis
- +1 y
Haha Yes sir, the human mind, and it's different functions is a jungle sometimes.. We can never fully figure it out..
Asker+1 yYea I don't think we even know 50% of the functionality of the human brain
- +1 y
Yeah, that's why I believe there has to be a God.. Somebody to explain all these mysterious to us. Human observation can only go so far and it's really been an accumulation of knowledge passed down..

u +1 yI can be either way. Aslong as I have someone to focus on if I’m single. Like a best friend for example. I’m independent in the way of taking care of myself, but I always need one person close to me, whether that’s romantically or platonically.
Asker+1 ySo your soul wasn't created to be alone, your soul craves company, no matter in what form as long as it's there?
- +1 y
Yeah, that’s a pretty good way of putting it. I don’t like to only focus on myself 24/7. I like to have someone around that I can focus on when I don’t want to focus on myself if that makes sense.
Asker+1 yYea in a way it makes sense, I think that's a good thing tho, it means you got a good heart and it's not a selfish heart.
+1 yI honestly can be single. If I need sexy time I'll just get a friend with benefits. Don't get me wrong, I love being in a relationship but I can be single if I had to.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI've never had an actual relationship and so far and i don't feel i'm ready yet. But i'm never been complitely single to be honest, there was always someone in my life (friends with benefits, dates, crushes, casual flings) but i've never committed to anyone.
I'm comfortable being single and probably will committ once the relationship will actually add something more than just being single.
Asker+1 yI never understood the hookup stuff, since you are anon I thought maybe you wouldn't mind some questions, respectfully of course, do you find happiness in all that stuff? Why rely on that more than an actually committed relationship? 🤔
Opinion Owner+1 yI don't look for happiness when choosing to hook up with someone or when dating. I'm looking for new experiences, connections, fun and just getting to know new people.
I find happiness in other things or just don't really look for it.
But I get the question, i do sometimes feel "empty" after a casual encounter even if it's just a random date (i know it might seem like i'm constantly having sex with someone but i'm not ahahah i had a limited number of sexual partners in my lifetime) and maybe longing for something more but that feeling doesn't last long
Asker+1 yWell I don't know how it works, I got that waiting for marriage mentality so I was genuinely wondering why so many people do so but that makes sense I guess, I believe you should chase love, I believe everyone should experience it and I feel like you are missing out considering it involves the type of fun you get from these random hookups as Well, expect there's a lot more that comes with it, just something to think about you know? 🙂
I detest being single. I know I'm pitiful, but I just like being in a relationship.

Asker+1 yLmao homie likes being in relationships, there's nothing wrong with that but reading this had me dead cause it came out of nowhere 😂
Opinion Owner+1 yI think she might have low self esteem tho. He current boyfriend bought her a nose job.
Opinion Owner+1 y*Her
Asker+1 yThat is... romantic? At least he helps her by existing 🙃
Opinion Owner+1 yHow is that romantic? He bought her a new nose. Like boy the heck... instead of hyping up her self esteem he went to buy her a nose 🤦🏻♀️ she looked better with her original nose tbh. Even if it was bumpy it fit her face better and she looked prettier. The new nose doesn't fit her facial profile.
Asker+1 yWell I don't know how the nosejob works but he stayed with her tho so at least they have each other lol
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah and apparently he wants to marry her and have a kid with her. I should add he was a married man when they were seeing each other and he has like 3 kids. My cousin has 1 with some other foo. But she doesn't want to get married and have kids. I over heard her saying something like "for what? What's the point of getting married?" Oh yeah he's 43 and she's 27
🤷🏻♀️
Asker+1 yDamn that's quite an age gap, they both seem to have run into fuck ups but I guess if they found each other, we can only hope it lasts until it doesn't, God forbid that time ever comes, when you gonna get married tho, your luck with guys is like my luck with lotto scratchers
Opinion Owner+1 yI'm not looking to get married or date.
Asker+1 yI thought you were
Opinion Owner+1 yNope. Is it cos I talk to random guys on here that u got that impression? 💀
Asker+1 yYep, now I can only assume it's for something else
Opinion Owner+1 yActually yeah, I would like to get married one day but not to these guys lol
I just like talking to random people 🙃
Asker+1 yI'm not sure I'm buying that story anymore lol
Opinion Owner+1 yWhat story?
Asker+1 yThe marrying one, after you literally said you didn't want too like 8 minutes ago
Opinion Owner+1 yI do but not right now and not to these men here.
😒
Asker+1 yWell I never said it was to these men here 😂
Opinion Owner+1 yYou said I had bad luck with men so I assumed u meant the weirdos here.
Asker+1 yWell if you were having any better luck in person, I'd imagine you wouldn't be single crumble 🙃
Opinion Owner+1 yWell I get asked out but I say no. I kinda don't wanna date. Is it weird I get grossed out when a guy shows too much attention to me?
Asker+1 yYea that's kinda weird, kinda self sabotaging as well, that explains a lot tho lol
Opinion Owner+1 yWhat is the lot it explains?
Asker+1 yWhy you kill our convos at some point, sometimes in the middle of a decent convo lol
Opinion Owner+1 yOh I didn't realize that. Sorry about that 😔
Asker+1 yYep and when I decide to keep things short cause I know you'll do it again, you seem more into starting a convo, just cause I act blind to things doesn't mean i am blind to them lol but apology accepted crumble 😆
