Of course. Having children is taxing in all aspects - financially, emotionally, physically. Many marriages fail because of the stress of parenting. Having children is rewarding in the end, but it’s a long journey with a lot of hardships & sacrifices. Just make sure the person you’re with shares your perspective. If you already have kids or she’s already pregnant, there isn’t much you can do except assume responsibility before another man (who likely won’t love your child) ends up raising your child.

If you want to be in a relationship but without kids, it's totally fine and understandable.

But, be open about it and let your girlfriend know before she invests any time or emotions in the relationship which wouldn't be fulfilling for her
