I just want to see your own definitions for platonic relationship.
To me, a platonic relationship is one where there's a deep bond and affection, but it's completely non-romantic and non-sexual. Think of it as a close friendship where there's no element of physical attraction or romantic desire, but there's a lot of love and respect.
Here's what sets platonic relationships apart in my view:
Deep Emotional Connection: You can have a really strong emotional bond in a platonic relationship. You can share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly without the layers of romantic expectations.
No Romantic or Sexual Attraction: This is the key differentiator. In a platonic relationship, you're not looking at the other person as a romantic partner. You appreciate them for who they are, without any underlying desire for something more 'couple-y'.
Support and Trust: Just like in any meaningful relationship, trust and support are huge. You're there for each other, through thick and thin, but it's more like how you'd be there for a sibling or a close friend.
Freedom from Romantic Expectations: There's a sense of freedom in platonic relationships because you're not bound by the complexities that often come with romantic relationships.
Inclusivity and Comfort: Platonic relationships can be incredibly inclusive. You can have platonic friendships with people of any gender or orientation, and there's a level of comfort and ease that comes from knowing the relationship is purely based on friendship.
In essence, platonic relationships are about having a close, meaningful connection without the romantic or physical aspect.

If I had to form one from scratch it would be:
"An interaction where all parties involved aim to conduct themselves in a manner that does not intentionally reflect any current societal definitions on the nature of sexually intimate interactions."
A friendship between a woman and a gay man comes to mind. I’ve had some great platonic relationships with gay male coworkers - they’re not interested in getting in my pants and the feeling is mutual. We talk, we laugh, we part ways. Simple and carefree. No ulterior motives.
A normal friendship between a male and female. They’ll call and text each other, give support and advice, go for coffee, meals, maybe holiday together sometimes, but there is no romance or intimacy- or jealousy if one half of the friendship is coupled.

As a kid , my best friend was a guy. He got me into Pokemon and anime. I am so thankful for the time I had with him as kids. As an adult it's not the same to be friends with guys. To me a platonic friendship is between two girls that consider themselves straight.
