What do you think of platonic love?

Why so many people like platonic love is completely beyond my comprehension, can someone explain to me the benefits of it?

Because it doesn't involve drama, child support, pointing fingers, arguments about : you didn't do.. that, that.. and that. Doesn't involve:
You didn't help me pay the bills
You didn't call me back
Where were you untill this time
Why dinner is not ready
Why you didn't take me out
Why you didn't wash the dishes/done the chores
This house goes to shit, as a man of the house you don't fix it
All day long you just drinking
Etc, etc.. the list is Extensive.

This show you're a man and friendship between women the's ways more jealousy than in a relationship. When you're a woman and best friends with one there's tons of jealousy and possessivity issue also one is always more clingy and throw a fit. In my country there's a well know saying that best friends is always ways more jealous than husband / boyfriend.

I'm wondering at your definition of "Platonic love". It means non sexual love. I love lots of people I don't have sex with, family members, good friends. Now if someone you want to have sex with tells you they love you platonically and you wanted it to be sexual, that hurts because they are telling you they don't want to have sex with you. That's sad, but it happens.

Sometimes it is nice to have a friend that you can just be yourself with. If you can reveal your most innermost feelings with somebody and they feel like they can do the same with you and this is without the awkwardness of sex and romantic feelings it is pretty awesome. I had somebody like that and I really miss her.

Platonic love is the kind you give to parents, siblings, pets, or best friends.
