When does/should a SAH parent get a day off while their spouse works out of the house 5 days a week?

Being a stay at home parent, not just a childless wife or girlfriend, is a full time job. Kids take work, it’s very draining chasing after them plus trying to keep the house tidy, make meals, it’s exhausting. Everyone deserves a bit of free time.

If it were me, I’d need AT LEAST two days a week away from children or children related tasks. And that’s pushing it but then again, I don’t want kids at all so my opinion is very bias. Regardless, stay at home parents DO need regular breaks.

Honestly, once you become a parent, you never get a day off. Once a parent, always a parent. Even when they're grown and move out of the house, you're still their parents and you still check up on them.

Everyone needs a break sometimes. The working parent should step up and take over at night when they get home and on their days off to help the sahp.
