Is my boyfriend a simp or something? My boyfriend and I have been having arguments and we’ve been having some issues. In the middle of one of our talks he looked at me and asked if we can stop arguing. Then he said “i don’t wanna get emotional but I really do love you baby” tears rolled out his eyes as he said it. What kind of grown man cries? This is so much of a turn off to me and make me want to leave him even more on top of all the arguing. Because he’s always crying ! I was raised in a house where my brothers couldn’t cry. It was completely unacceptable!! I’m thinking he might be gay or something. I don't know what to do. Is this a strange reason to leave someone? It’s weird seeing a grown man cry

I mean I’ve cried. I cried when my best hunting buddy ( dog) died and cried when my ex took my one yo daughter two states away. But I cried in silence. Nobody wants to see that and as a society women say to men it’s ok to show your emotions but then are put down and belittled for it. But he does sound a little sensitive. If it’s a life changing event is one thing but to be crying during an argument yeah that’s too much. Sounds like really you’ve already decided to move on.
And for all you ladies, if you ever do take a minute of your busy life to stop and ask your man “ how are doing” and he says “ I’m alright “ He ain’t alright!

Honestly, crying makes me uncomfortable it makes me really uncomfortable and I don’t like to be around people when they do it and again I don’t feel good about that, it’s something I’m working on. . It’s just it’s how it is but I do think it gives me an ability to look at it objectively.

I don’t feel less comfortable when a man does it and I don’t feel more comfortable when a woman does, it it’s all kind of gross to me so I find it weird when women are like oh, it’s so gross men are crying, I mean crying is kind of weird if you’re uncomfortable with it and I don’t see why you make it about men. Name of conflict resolution should be peace & respect. So if someone can argue non aggressively that’s very valuable thing.

No, someone uses being upset as a reason to not fully discuss things that’s an entirely different problem that is something that would be very frustrating and worth looking into. I’m not sure if that something that you’re having a problem with or not but that would be a legitimate thing to want to fix, and that something you can discuss with your boyfriend. Because at that point, it’s not being peaceful, it’s stonewalling, but I’m not sure that’s what’s happening but I am saying if that is what’s happening it’s worth discussing.🙂
