Being cheated on?

My partner recently cheated, is their something wrong with me because I still see us having a future together?

you need to have a serios discussion with them as to what lead up to it, what was missing in their life and why it happened.
Don't accept the standard it just happened, I had no control BS answer.
While it can be painful to hear unless there is complete honesty nothing will change.
You can come back from it, but your relationship might never be the same and you might harbor a deep seated resentment about it.
It happened to me twice, I found my first wife with the landlord, I knew something was going on, but I just didn't know with who.
I did the come home early and unexpectedly and I saw his truck there and just knew.
It's kind of funny now, pathetic and sad, but he was trying to back into the closet while pulling up his pants, she was still in bed.
She asked what I was doing there, and I answered I used to live her, turned around and left.
We got a divorce shortly after and his wife kicked his ass out as well.
The other time we were getting close to the talking about marriage stage and once again I saw the signs and didn't wait until I caught her, I just knew, so I was done.
A year or so later she came into my store with her sad puppy dog eyes, and I knew she wanted to get back together, I figured maybe the grass wasn't all that green on the other side of the fence after all, but I never went back.
That one I wondered what if we had gotten back together, but my fear was that she wouldn't come clean and I wasn't sure if I would ever get over it which wouldn't be fair to her wasting her time on something that would never get back to what it was.
But I still wonder.
You have to decide what you will and will not accept, and really think about will you be able to move on and get past it, or will it be like the sword of Damocles always hanging over your head.
Only you can decide what you are willing and able to do.

Take heart; millions upon millions of guys have endured the humiliation of an unfaithful girlfriend, and a surprising number of them were successful in maintaining their relationship with the frisky female who was too vivacious for just one guy, at least at that particular time. I recommend that you have a long, soul searching discussion with her, and see how she feels about it.

Honestly, no. There is no future with a cheater.

If she cheated on you once, there is no reason why it will not happen a 2nd., a 3rd and subsequent times because you allow it.

A cheating partner is a partner you should get rid of. If you don't do it, you automatically endorse it. You may forgive her once, twice and more times but that is not what a relationship is all about.

Once a cheater, always a cheater. It all depends on the incentive. If that incentive is good enough, then there is no reason why a cheater should not grab that opportunity.

Keeping a cheater is also an indicator of weakness. You lose your dignity and self-respect by forgiving and/or forgetting.

Any relationship that cannot be based on trust is doomed to fail. Guaranteed.
