Guys: what makes a girl fun to hang out with for you or in general?

Engaging conversations and maybe a bit of an inner child. It also helps a lot if she gets along well with my friends and acquaintances so that we can all have fun together.

If I use my wife as an example, I once tried to take her on a romantic date when we started dating at a park with boat rides for couples and romantic scenery thinking she'd dig it (I'm not very romantic myself).

She surprised me by insisting we take two boats and race each other across the lake! She's very mature when she needs to be but really surprised me with that inner child side that's so fun and competitive and playful.

That’s awesome 😄. What do you consider engaging conversations, any examples that come to mind?

My favorites are soulful conversations. For example, even if I'm talking to a physicist, I'm much more interested in, say, their childhood and what made them passionate about physics than talking about physics (even though it's my favorite subject in science).

I can still geek out talking about physics with physicist but that doesn't teach me anything unique about this particular person unless they're teaching me something very highly specialized that isn't common knowledge, like something they're very currently researching for which no papers have been published.

Or take the example of a book report. Say a student writes a perfect summary of the book. That doesn't interest me much anymore in this information age, since I can find the most excellent book summaries on my smartphone a Google search away. So I'm much more interested in the subjective qualities like, "How did this book make you feel? How does it relate to your personal experiences?" Those are the questions that interest me most since the answers promote a deep level of empathy and mutual understanding, and I find the most engaging conversations among people who most freely share in this way.

I call them "soul-sharing" conversations where we just take turns baring our souls to each other.

People can have different views and still get along. I suppose it depends how strict they are in those views though, once people lose respect and try to impose their views on others it then becomes difficult.

girl aside from the education and job thing i am the complete opposite of a feminist.
can never have a good conversation before getting ticked off in the wrong way with them.

I may not necessarily describe that as fun though personally, but enjoyable and genuine, sure.

Sprinkle in some jokes/humor and personal stories/experiences related to the topic at hand and that will change your mind
