Guys, What are some things that you wish the opposite sex knew?

1- Men spend their entire lives being told how he should treat a woman, where women are taught their entire lives how they should be treated by a man, But no one teaches women how to treat their man. So if you are a woman in a relationship, you likely have no clue how that man wants to be treated, What makes him feel loved, What makes him feel appreciated. We dont want flowers, fancy coffee, surprise parties, or paragraph long social media posts about why you love us. That is because we aren't you. We want appreciation, love, loyalty, peace.

2- We do indeed want other forms of intimacy that does not necessarily lead to sex.. Lets face it, Sex is awesome. But no its not the only thing we want. We want to be touched, hugged, have our backs and shoulders rubbed. In my case i love when my wife plays with my hair.

3- We will not open up to you, unless we are damn sure you are a safe space to do so. More often than not, we are treated badly when we open up, you can disagree with this all you want but it doesn't change reality. We definitely dont want our vulnerability used against us down the line if we argue or fight. Its a sad, sick, cowardly thing when women do this, and honestly the relationship is essential over at that point.

4- We want to feel loved for who we are as a person. Not what we can provide. None of us like being treated like walking talking ATM's with ears.

5- Most men have zero issues working and giving more to a woman than he receives. Its kind of written into our DNA.. As long as she is doing the first four, we will go to battle for her, protect her, and provide everything we can for her.

This is 100% true, all 5 points. The first one in particular is a huge problem in modern western society that must change if gender relations are ever to be remotely normal again.

#2 - This is a big one too. It seems a lot of women today place far too much weight on their sexuality and forget all the other things that men need from them to be happy long term. When a woman doesn't meet those other needs too, sex is essentially the only thing they pffer. It's a self-perpetuating problem women have created for themselves.

#3 - This is a fact most women have not insight into, and no empathy for. Men are told all the time they need to behave more like women and share their emotions and be vulnerable. But every man has been bitten by that multiple times in their lives and have learned the hard way it's not true. It takes a deep trust in a woman for a man to be feel comfortable opening up.

#4 - Very true. But we also want to be respected and admired, and appreciated for what we do. Men need to feel valued, and to feel that they need to do things for their woman to show their love. Otherwise they feel useless and unvalued. Many women today don't give men that opportunity. They are so focussed on being an "independent woman" that they don't give their man the opportunity to show their love and feel valued and appreciated.

#5 - Yes! As long as she appreciates our work and sacrifice and also does her part in the relationship.
