Why do some people act so very close and then disappear without even a bye?

This is more of a venting out than a question actually. Met this girl here. She was so stressed about her issues and I tried helping her, listening to her, suggesting her ways to come out of the situation. It was like 24*7 texting and the next thing I know now is she has left and no intimation whatsoever.
Also, if you got nothing nice to say then don't answer.

i've had this happen , was this girl i met at a restaurant here , i'd talk to her all summer and everyone though we were really close. i'd specifically go to her section so i could see her but when summer over she'd like disappear to another city and i wouldn't hear one word from her. i tried to add her on social media and she would not even accept my request.

its like she though i was dumb , everyone there knew when summer over she went to that other city for school but like she though i somehow didn't know that and she could just disappear and i'd have no idea where she was

there was sort of a good bye at the end of summer 2022 but it was kind of fake and other people she knew from that restaurant were allowed to come down and see her at the other place she went to. i wasn't like allowed to , i actually went down there a couple times to try and find her but never managed to see her ever
