If you found yourself without any connections to others in this world, what actions would you take?

First thing on the agenda? I might try to get involved to some community activities. Whether it's a local community garden, a book club, or a group that goes hiking every weekend, getting involved in activities with a group might set a way to meet people. You're not only showing up; you're also participating in a shared experience.

Next, I'd probably lean into the digital age. There are so many platforms that you can connect with people who have similar interests. Imagine joining an online forum dedicated to a hobby you love or even something you're curious about.

Volunteering would be high on my list, too. You can have some activities and help other people by volunteering works. That will help you to connect with others.

I'd also say yes more often. Yes to that invite to a casual meetup, yes to joining a class that teaches something totally out of my wheelhouse, and yes to those moments that seem a bit intimidating at first.

Also, just being friendly and approachable in everyday situations is important. Sometimes, a simple conversation in a coffee shop or at the park can lead to a great friendship. It's about being open to those small moments of connection that happen in the most ordinary of places.

I've joined multiple groups based around my values and interests to build connections with people who share those values and interests. It's slow work, but it's much better than just giving up and staying alone. I would not give up. There are so many people in the world, and all of us want connection of some kind.

It’s not hard to find good friends if you are willing to overlook money and social status. There are many widows and disabled people and new immigrants and sick or depressed people who are lonely, you don’t have to lower your moral standards to find a compassionate and respectful friend.

Wouldn't matter to me. I am already likely going to participate in several Mars experiments that center around being isolated with limited contact to people and the outside world. In addition I am decently high on the list of scientists that they want to send on the first trip to Mars. Meaning I would be away from my family for at least a year. I have told them to let me know when it goes from a maybe to a certainty.

I tried to end it all multiple times. I gave up on trying to meet people. I gave myself a time limit to do some things I've always wanted to do and when I do enough of them, I'll probably just end all for good. I think I was a horrible person like Hitler in my previous life and Karma made me the most unwanted pathetic ugly unloved person to balance out my karma in this life.
