It definitely happened to me with some of my girlfriends. That said, the reason was extremely obvious in my case! They gave me all my fashion suggestions.
I had multiple who even bought me clothes like new shirts and pants and I think that was their polite way of telling me that my sense of fashion sucked. 😅
Also before my second girlfriend, I used to part my hair straight down the middle. Seemed simple that way and I don't have to think about it. Then she started playing with my hair and saying it looks so much better if I parted it to the side and even took me to a hair dresser and told him how to style my hair.
So I ended up getting almost all my fashion advice from my ex-girlfriends this way.
I dug up an ancient pic of my style before my girlfriends started to change it. I thought it was cool! I had beanie, wallet chain, silver jewelry, Nike sneakers (that was more for comfort), flashy t-shirt logo. Apparently my girlfriends didn't like it though since they kept buying me clothes and suggesting how to change my fashion. π
Also this one. I liked to wear sunglasses indoors back then. I thought it looked cool like the Terminator. "Hasta-la-vista, baby!"
@AmyHew1tt Thanks! Yay! My wife doesn't do this so much though so I've settled into a very comfortable and plain style with one exception. She showed me this knight hoodie on Amazon thinking I'd geek out over it since I love studying about the feudal Europe with knights and jousting.
She asked me if I liked it and I was like, "Hell yeah! That's the coolest thing I ever saw!" Then she called me a total nerd but actually got me the hoodie on my Birthday.
Now I wear it sometimes although I feel like I'm in a Halloween costume. π
@AmyHew1tt They have a whole slew of them now. Can find searching for "knight hoodies", like this:
I just need the sword to complete the outfit. π
@AmyHew1tt Have you ever been to one of those Renaissance Fairs? I've always wanted to go to one but the closest I've ever gotten is Medieval Times: Dinner and Tournament, although that was great fun! The only thing is that I was enjoying the show so much that I forgot to eat some of the food and the staff came around and collected my soup before I finished it when I was really enjoying it. π
@AmyHew1tt Also have you seen Excalibur (1981)? It's one of my favorite films ever and what really got me starting to geek out on medieval European culture.

@AmyHew1tt Cheers! I hope you like it. It seems to be divisive among audiences with the unnatural acting style (very Shakespearean). It's a fantasy based on the Arthurian legends but always captured what I thought was the spirit of the medieval times with jousting, kings, queens, nobility, knights, squires, castles, and so forth. I especially love the soundtrack like so:

Hopefully we can both attend a Renaissance Fair at some point. I'm wanting to take a trip to Germany on my bucket list since they seem to have amazing ones along with a lot of medieval architecture still intact.
Yess and No , coz it depends upon people. Having a girlfriend/boyfriend can bring about various changes in a person's life. It often leads to increased emotional support, companionship, and a deeper sense of connection. It can also influence personal growth, as individuals may become more empathetic, considerate, and responsible. Also ig being in a relationship can impact one's social life, priorities, and decision-making. But 😂😂the effects of having a boyfriend/girlfriend can vary greatly from person to person, and not everyone experiences the same changes. Some have to face worst thing in life coz of these things. It's important to choose a right girlfriend/boyfriend for yourself, otherwise u have to face the consequences 🤣🤣 ykiyk.
Ikk it's trendy but it doesn't work for everyone.
depends
some change their looks after getting in a relationship
I donβt believe itβs a universal effect for sure, and celebrities are very bad examples to use since they literally are a product and are very often guided, directed, and even required to dress in certain attire as they sign various contracts and accept certain endorsements.
I DO definitely believe men & women tend to dress better when they are trying to impress and often times thatβs when they are out trying to meet people. Then, when we do meet people, we tend to try and make that person happy and dress in a way they find appealing.

I usuall like to dress nicely but when I was in a long rl with my ex I kinda started to slowly adopt her style of hoodies and usually saggy clothes. Now im trying to find back my own style.
Guess some of it was bec I was comfortable in the rl.
People definitely change when they start dating someone new. A lot of people get sloppier, but there are those who clean up
I think I read once people in a relationship let themselves "go" and become fatter, lazier, unhappier. They get stuck 😭😔 lol in their ways ahahaha 😋 so maybe I'm happier and healthier single as a single 😀😉
I'm always going to be the same person, I don't let people change me (unless its teaching me a new skill, but thats not an appearance change)
I believe. When you spend time together so often or live together, your flaws will get pointed out by either her or me. Changes for the better.
Not sure if it's the same thing but I like to match my style to my husband's.
Women dress better around their men and dress their men better.
I know this happens, but I wouldn't call it an effect.
You mean I'd become EVEN HANDSOMER with a young buxom blonde girlfriend? YEAH, BUDDY !!!
What is the effect supposed to be? Better fashion sense for the guy?
i don't get it
