Husband threatening to call police because we have an argument , how normal is that?

So he did it so many times already.. and not for violence or anything like that , simply because we had an argument he threatened me to call police and even tried.. then when i asked why he's doing this , he said because i won't stop fighting.

So guys , not empathy for your partner , not understanding and trying to figure everything out by communication is the way.. calling the police for each inconvenience is the solution. ( excuse the sarcasm but I'm so hurt and upset )

He wasn't able to maintain a happy family since long time, and I'm not saying it's all his responsibility cuz I know I have mine too. But threatening to call police just because we are having an argument it's too much , it's just showing how he's not a man.

Why are constantly arguing instead of talking about things? Arguments aren't normal. Disagreements sure. But there is no need for arguing. Guys don't have any interest in arguing and want to shut it down asap and if they can't walk away or get you to stop they resort to more drastic measures. So when he wants the argument to end why do you insist on continuing to run your mouth? On his part calling the police is dumb they wouldn't do anything anyways. I however would not be surprised if he has told you to be quiet or to shut up on more than 1 occasion

Threaten to call cops for no reason in a argument (without violence or screaming) is a very manipulative way to silence someone or get things his way. And obviously a very high red flag. But what kind of argument was it? Was someone screaming or being abusive in it or was it an "normal" argument?

Are you even sure you want to be with a person like that? I believe communication is key. But both sides has to communicate and be willing to work on it.

But you know what? Let him call! Calling the police for no reason will only bring him in problems or he will likely get a fine.
