1 yI agree that she should be by his side and not behind.
But the point of that statement is that she supports and encourages her husband. That she trust his decisions. That she doesn’t tolerate people making disparaging remarks about her husband and she doesn’t do or say anything that would chip away at his manhood.
Being that he is a good man, she must treat him as such and be appreciative of him.00 Reply

1 yA guy can be unstoppable if he's with a good and supportive women. Just like a nagging woman brings a man down

Stepping into this with my love goggles on, I think the phrase 'Behind a good man is a good woman' might need a bit of a modern love remix. Let's think of it more like, "Beside every good person is another good person." Love, in all its forms, is about partnership, mutual respect, and support. It's about cheering each other on, side by side, as equals. Whether it's offering a shoulder to lean on or a high-five in celebration, true connection blooms when we stand together. Love is a dance, and it's always more fun with someone who matches your rhythm. 💃❤️🕺

1 yThere was a time I'd have said certainly. I haven't seen as much "getting behind your man" in the past ten years. If I'm worn out and having a bad day and I say "hey hon would you mind making me a sandwich" you'd think I committed a hate crime.
10 Reply Definitely true, I also think behind certain good men is a men who refuse any less then what he can gives in return. One who wasn’t appreciated for being good. They are of high value if they remain a gentlemen!
Cause most men would have been so hurt and stock in the past, they would be fuckboy/cityboy, or act as an ass thinking thar women rather that.
Cause a lot men think being a gentleman is being a simp, cause they have been around too much damage women.00 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)1 yI'm fine with it, I respect girls/women who truly be by a guy's side when he's trying hard in life. But I see a bunch of girls/women these days with this -- he's not good enough, next! he's not good enough, next! If a woman wants to be a house wife and take care of her kids while her husband brings the money home, he works hard, but she works hard, they are a team. Maybe she works and he works and they have a great rapport. I am cool with taking a back seat and saying my wife or girlfriend is my rock, she motivates me when im done, that's a good woman. I don't want to deal with some drama, basket case who insults me.
00 ReplyIf you're talking about a foot race, sure it's logical. The best female athletes always lose to even mediocre male athletes and especially to good male athletes. So a good women would definitely be eating the dust of a good man.

Nice pun
1 yIt's one of those phrases that shouldn't be spoken in absolutes. The good man could have a good woman or not. Both are possible. Some have it within them & they know how to access it, others need someone to help them find it.
00 Reply"... with a gun pointed at his head".
Is this one of those questions where you have to complete the sentence?
00 ReplyI don't care for it. One's "goodness" should be by their own merit. I was a good man, but by narcissistic ex-wife constantly tore me down and cheated on me. This saying implies that men can only be good if there's a good woman supporting him.

1 yNot true. Next to a good man is a good woman. Behind a shitty man is a shitty woman. In front of a cowardly man is a masculine woman.

00 ReplyDon’t like it because it takes away credit from the man’s own self development. Plenty of good men have toxic moms or girlfriends…
02 Reply- 1 y
Yeah but I can't name many men who weren't physically carried, and then birthed, by a woman 😭 that self development kinda needs a woman

1 yIt CAN be true but is is exceedingly rare these days.
10 Reply I tend to think more along the lines of, “Behind a good man is an even better woman.”

1 yI've always felt it was a conservacuck saying, as in, men still think they're better than their woman

Anonymous(30-35)1 yNot all good men have good women on their side. Some good men marry golddiggers or cheating women.
01 Reply- 1 y
Majority of those men end up having poor taste in women and lack accountability
1 yOnly if the woman is a transwoman that is your best friend Paul.

What's wrong if she's behind? 😏
Does it make her less human? - 1 y
@TonyMetal___86 I like to see things from the same point of view. It makes it easier to understand
- 1 y
Ah ok, no problem, i'm someone who believes that the man is the head of the house and family, he leads and the wife follows...
That's why i asked you...
Ofc only if he's a real man! - 1 y
@TonyMetal___86 good for you. I prefer partnership
- 1 y
It is a partnership, the wife's opinion is always taken into consideration and if i was married and i felt that my wife's opinion is better than mine than my decision will be to do her idea, my job is to pick what's the best for both of us...
Feed my future wife, take good care of her, provide a warm safe house to live in, protect her and earn money to pay the bills... - 1 y
@TonyMetal___86 as I wrote, I prefer partnership. It means he doesn't decide, we do it, together. He doesn't lead because partner relationship doesn't need a leader, only maturity. He doesn't need to provide, because we both do it. It's called partner relationship we are equal.
- 1 y
You can be equal but with different roles, you don't need to do everything that i'm doing and i don't need to do everything that you're doing to be equal...
About maturity and making decisions together well i'm not against it but in case there's a disagreement, someone must make the final decision, as you can see all the companies, countries, cults, religions... etc have a head, one head for a reason...
Anyways, i respect your choice, you'te you and i'm me that's all... - 1 y
@TonyMetal___86 I don't treat my relationship as a company, cult or whatever. We are two people willing to be together. We can talk things out, we can align, compromise and negotiate. But as we build it together there is no one deciding person. We both have to make an effort.
and partnership doesn't mean we do the same. But we CAN. If both partners want to work they do. If not, they agree on split responsibilities. It's simple. We don't need roles, because each of us is good on something. So we align and cooperate - 1 y
No problem, that's what i meant about the roles issue, i'm someone who is traditional, that's why i look for a woman who adores becoming a housewife, she does her role and i do mine!
That's how it works for me...
Others might choose 50/50 or a house husband i don't know...
When it comes to me, i'm simply like that!
In the end, i believe that a man is a man and a woman is a woman... - 1 y
@TonyMetal___86 sure, just dictionaries differ between people. for me man and woman are different genders of the same species. They can do the same or different things based on what they want. You see them as set in stone roles.
- 1 y
I see them as equal and the same but with different roles and mindsets, it's like there's a picturen with 2 pieces of puzzle, when they match they create the full photo, if both were identical than they don't need each other nor love each other and do not complete each other...
Also that's why even in making a baby, both are needed but in different ways 😌 that's what i believe in! - 1 y
@TonyMetal___86 I believe we match as a puzzle on a personality level
- 1 y
True! For me it's on all other aspects too...
How about being every great man is an even great woman

What's wrong if she's behind? That's what they say, does it makes a girl feel less than a human if she's behind him?
s 1 y@TonyMetal___86 I know what u mean
I had to point it out cuz around year 2015 some certain extreme groups online started to make it sound (the phrase) so bad n they twisted the meaning of it so I had to make a remark since many still believe what those were spreading back then- 1 y
These people are stupid and shallow...
Let me ask you something, when you want to protect someone in danger, do you stand behind them or in front of them?
Women were behind men because men were the protectors of women and their families and the women were behind to give them all the support that they need to win and conquer, it means working hand in hand and having the back of each other against anyone who wants to hurt them... etc
That's how it looks to me 😌
s 1 y@TonyMetal___86 not surprised tbh
u r one smart guy n mature enough to understand how life really works- 1 y
I like the saying wish it was that way 🧍🏽😂
