I'm writing a story about someone who is having trouble with the fact they will never be able to get the closure they want.
I want to hear stories from people about moments that shaped how they view this topic.

Interesting question. Love- at its core- is letting go. Not of people or things necessarily, but of what I want. I had a relationship a few years back. I fell madly in love with her and her with me. But it could not happen. The more we tried to hold on, the more things fell apart. We never openly confessed to loving one another. Finally I realized, if I wanted to guarantee her happiness, I needed to leave her life so she could be free. So that’s what I did. I told her I love her and I proved it by letting go. It emotionally crushed us both. But it changed my entire philosophy on life and people. And for her, she grew and achieved her dreams. I learned, if I let go of control- especially of what I want things to be like- then people and things naturally blossom.
that they never really leave your heart...
been there done that
finding peace in release was a very long journey yet through it u discover liberation of surrender
You don't need closure, you just need to let go and move on. Life's not waiting.
