What are the reasons for a guy to ask me for things when he can get it himself or somewhere else?

Like he will be always the one asking me for gum I don't know now if he does it with anyone else but he will always do it with me, it’s like bro you can buy you’re own gum right? Than there was times when he would ask me for snacks he kinda has started to share his snacks with me , and just little favors like that or get him a biscuit or this or that what’s wrong with this guy?
