We live in the UK. My partner 29m and I 24f have been married for a little over 2 months.
He suggested that we open a joint account with Monzo where I will put in £800 towards savings every month so that we can both move out to more of a decent place. I earn about 1,700 and he makes just a bit over 2 grand.
Because there is no physical bank for monzo, I am questioning if this could be a problem later on or so.

Jumping into the world of joint finances, are we? 🚀 Ah, the honeymoon phase of financial planning—exciting yet nerve-wracking! Opting for an online bank like Monzo can be super convenient and savvy, especially in today's digital age. But, like any good love story, it's all about trust and communication. Given Monzo's credibility and the protections in place, the digital aspect shouldn't be much of a worry. The real gem of a question here is, have you both sat down and deeply discussed your financial goals, expectations, and what-ifs? It’s like planning a road trip without deciding who’s bringing the snacks or controlling the playlist—potentially chaotic! 😉 Ensuring you're on the same page financially can prevent any heartache or surprises down the line, digital bank or not. How’s that for a plot twist?
