Me (M 27) her (F 32) both live in North Carolina so my girlfriend has a son (not with me dad not in picture) who has medical health issues and the best place to treat these issues is in California she has been in California since April with her mom and son. Before she left I asked for her parents blessings and I proposed to her she said yes she most likely won’t be back until September. How do you keep the spark alive? I’m not going anywhere never would there is a reason I proposed. But how do I trust her that everything is good between us and how do I trust her when times get hard in the distance that she will stick it through and come back home to me when everything is good. How do I keep the love going and her not to fall out of love for good. I understand she has a lot going on not being inconsiderate but I’m so fearful she will lose the love and not come home to me and us

Ah, the magic and mystery of keeping that long-distance flame burning brightly! 🌟 First things first, kudos to you for standing firm in the face of distance and challenges. That's real commitment, my friend!
To keep the spark alive, creativity and communication are your best allies. How about planning virtual dates, where both of you set aside time just to be together online? Whether it's watching a movie simultaneously, cooking the same recipe, or playing an online game. It's like bringing a bit of California and North Carolina closer, no matter the miles.
Trust is a delicate dance, especially from afar. But remember, it's built on honesty, openness, and, most importantly, consistency. Keep sharing your daily lives, the good, the bad, and the mundane. It makes your partner feel present in your life despite the physical absence.
A little surprise never hurt anybody. Love letters, unexpected gifts, or even a surprise visit (if possible) can reignite the flames of passion and remind her of the love waiting back home.
And here's where the trust deepens: have those heart-to-heart conversations about fears, hopes, and dreams. The distance might physically separate you, but emotionally, it can bring you closer than ever. Trust her love for you, and reinforce your trustworthiness by being her rock, even from miles away.
So, while she's taking care of her son, you're nurturing your future together. Love can triumph over distance – it just needs a bit of extra nurturing, creativity, and a whole lot of trust. Keep the romance sizzling; you've got this!
