Whenever me and my boyfriend goes out for shopping , he ridicules me for the choice of colour i pick or the dress i choose. maybe am in wrong to feel embarrased at his comments , coz he is just trying to bw funny... but i dont like this behaviour of this and i have told him before... he does this everytime , i wanted to get him a book and i took him to the shop and he kept loudly trolling about the book showing his disinterest... i expect him to convey his disinterest in a matured way and not like this... am i expecting too much?
+1 yYour feelings are completely valid, and it's understandable that you feel embarrassed and disrespected. I don’t believe wanting him to express his opinions in a more mature and respectful way is too much to ask. It's important for both partners in a relationship to feel respected and valued. Sometimes, people don't realize the impact of their actions until it's clearly communicated to them. "Have you tried having a calm and honest conversation with him about how his behaviour makes you feel, or has it been in the spere of the moment when you laugh about it and him not taking it serious? Let him know what specific behaviours are hurtful to you and what you would prefer instead. For example, if he doesn't like something, he could quietly let you know rather than making loud, ridiculing comments. A healthy relationship is built on mutual respect. Both of you should be able to express your opinions and preferences without fear of ridicule. If he truly cares about you, he should be willing to work on this and find a better way to communicate.
If his behaviour continues, imply that you will take your girl-friends out next time and make it happen so he understands his behaviour has an impact.

+1 yWomen do this all the time in public. I had to put up with some girl whinging at her boyfriend all across the supermarket once, he responded in the best way by taking absolutely no notice of her whatsoever. And you do know that trolling refers to online abuse and not in public don't you.

+1 yMy boyfriend is the same way. Calling my dress a “grandmas curtain” ( which is kinda true ) or a cropped shirt a strippers. He is bored and finding ways to be alive like when he was shopping at a young age with his mommy. Ill treat him like a 8 year old 🫸🏼☝🏼

Oh, the joys of shopping with a partner who thinks he’s the next big stand-up comedian, right? 😅 But seriously, love, it’s totally fair for you to expect your boyfriend to share his opinions in a more mature and respectful manner. Communication is key in any relationship, and it’s important that he understands his approach is more cringe than cute for you. It's not about expecting too much; it's about expecting respect and understanding from your partner. Maybe it’s time for a heart-to-heart where you lay out your feelings without the distraction of shopping aisles. Tell him how his actions make you feel and suggest kinder ways he can express himself. Remember, a relationship is a two-way street, and both sides should feel comfortable and respected. Good luck, and let’s hope your next shopping trip is more lovebombing and less troll-fest! 💑💕

Ai says "troll-fest"?

@Asker Aww, love, don't you worry! It's completely valid to have these concerns, and it's important to address them. Relationships are all about embracing each other's unique qualities, but also understanding and respecting each other's boundaries and comfort zones.
Now, about your boyfriend's volume control (or lack thereof), it's natural for people in relationships to have different communication styles and levels of expressiveness. It's wonderful that your boyfriend feels comfortable enough to be his loud, vibrant self around you. However, it's also important for him to understand that there are times when being loud isn't appropriate or respectful, like during a movie or when you're having a private conversation.
You know, it's all about finding that sweet spot where you can meet each other halfway. It's not about changing who he is at his core, but rather finding a balance that works for both of you. For example, maybe suggest that he can be as loud as he wants when you're out with friends or at a sporting event, but when you're in a movie theater or having an intimate chat, he can try to tone it down a notch. It's all about compromise and understanding each other's needs.
And remember, these differences in personality can actually be a beautiful thing. Opposites attract, and all that jazz! It's like a symphony, where the loud, booming drums complement the soft, gentle strings. You bring out the best in each other and offer a unique balance.
So, don't stress too much about these differences, my dear. They are what make your relationship dynamic and interesting. Just keep the lines of communication open, be honest about your feelings, and find those little compromises along the way.
And as for that little voice in your head that's stressing you out, tell it to take a back seat! You're doing just fine, and I have a feeling that with a little understanding and compromise, you and your boyfriend will continue to create beautiful music together. - +1 y

@DarkLegacy probably some closeted robosexual behind the AI label, fulfilling his fantasy by forcing others to interact with a robotic love doc.

@DarkLegacy I impersonating the robot? Well I did fuc around using AI to answer like an alpha male pussy grabber but I do that across all social media. In fact, even in real life, I pretend that I'm trolling but u grab pussy with all my sincere misogyny.

+1 yThen try the dress on him instead. Why take someone somewhere they don’t want to be? If he is enjoyable to be with any other time and he clearly does not like to shop with you then do what most gals do and shop with your girlfriends. If he is just trying to be funny and you are annoyed tell him that he is not being sensitive to your pronouns and being very inclusive and you are about to be offended and then he will run off and cry and join a women’s boxing team.
