Whatever you choose to accept , I don’t really hold age as a deciding factor, if I have great chemistry and connection and attraction to a girl , that treats me the same way Intreat her , as long as she is legal that’s all that matters to me , I have dated older and younger girls’ their age had nothing to do with it , it was the connection her and I shared together. Most people just like to be hypocrites about other peoples’ relationships , my thing is stay the fuck out of it , if they are happy together. Most people that make comments and remarks about other peoples’ relationships? Are hypocrites , they will talk shit until they meet someone with an age gap and then shit their mouths. We live in a judgernental world and most people are fucking Assholes when it comes to talking shit about other people that they have no clue about whatso ever , Most people just assume they know what they are talking about when really they don’t know Jack shit. I have dated younger girls ‘ that treated me way better than girls’ my age or older , so. That’s why age really means shit to me

1 yThere is no magic number in human relationships.
Though it's probably best, and most common, for partners to be close in age, there are many couples with large age differences. My father was 30 years older than my mother, and they had a long happy 40 year marriage, until my father died.

See there that was always my thing with that kind of an age Gap problem one partners obviously going to die much sooner than the other leaving the other one maybe middle aged and single now so it's kind of a catch 22 there
2.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Personally while I love chatting with way older guys bc they have fantastic stories and wisdom ti share, I don’t like more than a 5-year range for my own SO and myself (veering older)

1.9K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Past 10-12 years starts being too much. If you grew up in different generations then it's almost impossible to relate to each other.

I agree for the most part with your statement but I'm going to emphasize especially with the younger people of today because the world is so different now than that was just 15 years ago. So if you went back 20 to 30 years ago people of different ages still could relate to each other better than I'm going to say then it's possible in today's world
- 1 y
@RetroReviews yeah back a long time ago maybe was different but for my generation 10 years older than me would have grown up with very little technology and 10 years younger would have grown up with all the technology we have today so personally I need someone my own age cuz we grew up as technology grew.
- 1 y
Yep I fully understand that technology is so much into our lives I hate to see what you young people are going to do when the system goes down and you got to live in the real world it's going to be probably panic mode then and I'm going to say it will happen sooner or later

What's the perfect/ ideal age gap?
AI Opinion
Diving into the world of love, age is but a number, right? 😉 While there's no magic number that fits all, the essence of compatibility often orbits around shared values, life goals, and mutual respect, not just the candles on your birthday cake. Lovebombing aside, significant age gaps can introduce unique dynamics. Consider emotional maturity, life phases, and future aspirations. If you’re vibing on the same frequency and you can handle the side-eyes at family gatherings with a shared eye roll, who's to say there's a limit? As a relationship coach, I’ve seen the spectrum - what becomes a red flag is not the age gap but the gap in mutual understanding and respect. So, if you’re both legal, feeling the love, and ready for the rollercoaster together, who am I to throw shade? Love laughs at locksmiths and, sometimes, at age gaps too!

u 1 yThe answer depends on whether you are 18 or 65. At 18, anything more that 3-4 years becomes problematic. At age 65, up to a 15 year age difference is okay as long as both partners are healthy.
30 Reply I’ve always gotten along really well with people older than me. I have a lot of friends my age but can’t find anyone my age to love romantically. Still, the romance I have now, I know it maybe can’t last because I’m only 18 and I’m legal and we connect so well, but building a future together might be hard due to the age gap, and we’d face a lot of social judgement. Either way yeah I agree too much of a gap can be hard and potentially problematic. We’re from different generations but that hasn’t been issue between us at least. Still I do take this relationship very seriously and spend time with him, it heals me
00 Replydepends how old they both are. like if you're 18 and they're 22 it's pushing it. if your 40, it's whatever if the person is 50. the younger you are the more you should stay close to your age for many reasons, the older you are the more age is insignificant

1 yIt depends upon the couple. Since my parents were older when I was born - my mom was almost 45 and my dad a decade older - a lady being 15 or 20 years older does not bother me like it might for someone whose parents were 20ish when he was born.
00 Reply When I was younger, I would have said 5 years is too much. Now that Iam older and I realize how much less difference there is between ages as one gets older, I think a 10, 20, or even 30-year difference is acceptable as long as the relationship is healthy and the younger of the two has been out of high school for at least five years.

That is a good point definitely can't be fresh out of high school lol cuz that's kind of gross
1 yThat is honestly a person's personal preference haha As for me, I've been okay with any age gap really

Any age gap? Even 10+ years age gap?
- 1 y
@lastlyfound yep, I don't see the issue personally
- 1 y
3-4 years younger than a girl is ok too?
- 1 y
@lastlyfound yep I'm fine with that
14 years it's not a problem, stop judging age gaps! It's just sounds ridiculous!!
If we both are adults, what's the matter? 🤦♀️😤

1 yShould have been a option for no amount of years, if both parties are legal there is nothing anyone can do about it. It is called personal choice and nobody else's business

11 moI don't think it matters at all, as long as both have reached the age of consent.
00 ReplyPersonally, anything past 10 years age difference is too much I find it get harder to relate to people older then the 10-year age gap.

1 yAnything over 10 years. Really even 10 is too much but can work I guess.

1 yHonestly, once you start getting into the 10-15 year territory, that starts to be a little much for most people to handle.

1 yIf you notice the age gap then its too much. If it feels natural then its fine.

1 yI would think that you'd only have to worry about that if you're a pre-legal teen intent on dating someone legal.

1 ySocially accepted max = ([your age] * 2) - 7
Socially accepted min = ([your age] / 2) + 7
i. e. a 29 year old would be socially accepted dating someone between: 22 - 51.

1 yIt depends on the ages of other parties involved. 18 and 24 is pretty bad, 55 and 67 is not
