How to use a TV tuner on a laptop? (dell xps 17)

I have the Dell xps 17 that was bought refurbished, it has a TV tuner on the back but I don't know how to use it or what it means. there is the part where I don't know if I need an antenna or something or what they look like to attach but how do I use it!

link the gold part in the pic is the TV tuner it says is built in but I don't know what else I should buy to get it to work?

Usually tuner cards come with drivers and a software package. If you just get the drivers you can use VLC. If you also have the software you can use that if you like. On top of that you need to connect it to a antenna. My main concern would be that if it is old, it probably only works for analog channels, and basically all broadcast TV is digital now. If you want to watch TV on on the internet, you may want to check out Boxee and Netflix.

Drivers are software. All there is to it, is to find the drivers for your model computer at your manufacturers website, then download them, and then install. Nothing to it really.

You need to install the drivers first of all so the computer knows how to use it. If you don't have those discs you should get in touch with Dell support. This guy had a similar problem:
