Crestron display doesn't turn on after plugging HDMI cable to laptop? Help?

It's a big ass display that I have at my college, and apparently the company behind these offer such displays for schools and businesses. The screen had the indicator light go from yellow/orange to green, then the Sharp logo showed up, and then it went black. No matter what I did, it stayed black and only my laptop display was showing anything. I tried unplugging and replugging the HDMI cable, I tried using the other HDMI cables available, I tried messing with Windows display settings, and I tried messing with Nvidia Control Panel settings. I have also tried contacting IT but the support agent just misheard me and walked away when I told her I was the one who called her. -_-

My laptop is the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 Intel (2019), and its specs are Intel Core i5 9300H 4C/8T @ 2.4GHZ (4.1GHZ Boost) 45W TDP 14nm+, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 3GB GDDR5 @ 1366MHZ (1750MHZ Boost), Intel UHD Graphics 630 1GB DDR4 @ 350MHZ (1000MHZ Boost), 16GB DDR4 SODIMM SDRAM @ 2666MHZ (2x8GB), 250GB M.2 2280 SATA III SSD Crucial MX500 + 250GB 2.5" SATA III SSD Crucial MX500, Windows 10 Home Edition OEM x64-Bit Version 21H2, DirectX12 (D3D 12_1) + Vulkan Version 1.2 + OpenGL Version 4.6, WaveMaxx HD Audio (Surround Sound 5.1), Intel Gaming Wi-Fi Network Adapter, 1920x1080 FHD 15.6" LED IPS 60HZ 20ms SDR Generic PnP Monitor, 57488mwh LG Lithium-Ion Battery Pack, 6000RPM Dual Fans, USB 3.1 + USB C + USB 3.0 + USB 2.0 + HDMI 2.0 + 3.5mm Audio.
