I’m asking this because of women cheating and screwing men over.
If you still want kids of your own, why do you want a family even after hearing horror stories?
+1 yPlenty of men and women want families. But you have to be VERY careful who you marry. Not everyone has your best interests at heart men or women.
There are men who find out after a decade or more of marriage. That his kids aren’t even his. People cheat ALL the time. All the time… They don’t have self control.

Having heirs is the main purpose of life so it worth the risk, I want a virgin to make sure that the children is really mine, with non-virgin women a DNA test is a must.

Asker+1 yYou do realize even after having sex with a virgin she still can cheat, right?
Asker+1 yOk, you say you know the first child would be yours. But, you believe the next one won’t be?

Well sorry to hurt males who want those parts because I have been a survivor & a victim of Rap3 not even asking that pig of monster to touch me at the age of 15 & he turned out to 22 years and attacked another minor also between the same months of mine attack which I never got my chance to get help to place more charges due to him book in jail yet still he now and out of jail which is disgusting of what he was.

It is better to have a superior child than a biological child. If your wife cheats, it will be because she had a low risk of discovery opportunity with a genetically superior man. Whether birds or humans almost all females will cheat given a low risk opportunity will a superior male because there is an evolutionary advantage to have babies with the genes of superior males.

I see myself closer to a lion than to a bird, you know what a lion do to a cubs that not his. Many women cheat with ugly and stupid men, I don't consider them superior, my idea of superior is tall, strong, smart, blonde hair, blue eyes, and even then I am not in rush to adopt an scandinavian child. :)

10% of men get 80% of dating for sex opportunities. Since they have sex with multiple women, why should they settle for one?

Ah, the age-old concern mixed with modern-day fears! Let me jump right into the heart of it. Many men absolutely still dream of having a family, despite the scary stories of heartache and betrayal that often flood our feeds and fuel late-night talks. Why, you ask? At the core of us, beyond the cautionary tales, lies the undying hope for connection, legacy, and pure, unconditional love. Sure, the landscape of relationships and the risks involved have evolved, but the essence of wanting to nurture and build a family unit remains strong for many. It's about focusing on the dream, not the nightmare. It's about believing in the good, learning from the bad, and navigating the journey with open eyes and a full heart. Let's not forget, every great love story has its trials, but it's the triumph over these adversities that sweetens the plot! So, yes, despite the risks, the dream of a family is very much alive, fueled by the belief that finding the right partner can lead to a lifetime of love and the ultimate adventure together.

+1 yNo most of us do not. It is too risky and one sided. Women always cheat, stitch us over and the laws on divorce and children are all on women's side. So many women use marriage and kids as a financial investment these days. Women will always entrap men, i see it happen all the time.
Women will use kids as weapons against men as well.

I wouldn't say EVERY woman out there is that bad, but a lot of them are. Enough to make it so you would have to extensively research the woman you are considering if one were to go down that route.

+1 yi mean it is risky but the real reason people are not going for having a family is cause the times are so fucked up right now. like i could not feel ok with sending my child to a school full of pedophiles telling my child what gender they're supposed to be and mentally ill tiktok scrollers... by the way i'm not looking down on people who look at tiktok. i'm trying to say toktok makes people mentally ill. especially young children.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yWhat people want in theory and what they'll commit to in reality, given the risks, are two different things.
Many men would still shack up with a loyal, loving woman and have a couple kids if they could believe that woman was worth it.
Unfortunately, that kind of talk is the last thing that comes out of many of their mouths nowadays.

Opinion Owner+1 yMy first thought was that it was expected that she'd want children but I didn't want them yet.
No thoughts of cheating.
+1 yI don't want kids. I can't stand them
I also don't want marriage. Marriage shouldn't prove you're in love, it only says that you're in a legally binding relationship, which, according to some laws, can greatly affect how you live.
I want a girlfriend though, and to fall in love. i just don't think marriage and kids are truly necessary to be a happy "family"

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yLargely too risky. I look at marriage as a lovely fairytale. Virtually no woman today is capable of a lifetime commitment. I think guys still dream of that happy ending even though the facts clearly state that's unlikely to ever happen. And some guys get caught up pursuing that fantasy then one day reality hits them.

+1 yI don't want kids but it has nothing to do with cheating risk (I would not have sex until I'm 100% sure about who she is as a person).
Kids are time consuming, exausting, limiting, stressing, and a money sink.00 Reply 1.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Just isn't plausible. When both children are in elementary school she will unilaterally divorce you.

Asker+1 yThen should we make ourselves go into extinction?
Asker+1 ySo are relationships not a thing anymore?
- +1 y
Problematic.
Where I am the law has been changed such that I am effectively married after 2 years of cohabiting.
So if you want to keep all your own assets you have to dump after one and a half years to be on the safe side.
it is not good enough to not cohabit either in some countries (UK, Canada).
So you are best off not being in a relationship or at least keeping them short.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yMen still want to have a family, but the way that society and the courts favour women to the exclusion of Men, so most Men have performed a risk/benefit analysis and decided that marriage/family life is not for them in the current climate.
