I often enjoy my bfs sense of humour but at times he makes offesnive jokes... i have made it clear that somethings cannot be joked and taken lightly to this he replies that his friends never found a problem with the joke, also tells me that i can't get him and adviced me to take a joke as a joke... is it okay to pass offensive jokes on ur partner?

I had a friend that would make offensive jokes and then when you tell him it wasn’t cool to joke about he’s play it off and say he was joking. I called him a Schrodinger’s Douchebag (listed in Urban Dictionary). You never know when he’s being serious or just joking and he’d change his response according to the reaction of his audience.

Of course you can some of the best jokes are potentially offensive ones. I am Jewish and growing up had a couple friends that would make Jewish jokes. Funny as hell. You know who tells the best racist jokes? Black folks. Years ago I thought it was only white people that joked about our own skin color nope they do it too and they have some absolutely amazing jokes that are hilarious. All this being said their is a time and place for it and evidently that place is not with you. It is a joke just like comedy the point is to get a laugh to convey one's stance on the morals of life.
